Did you actually played Oblivion and Morrowind? They were also pretty neutered color wise

I don't think Dremora came from Ehlnofay in the lore but visually they've been presented as basically just dark elves with some extra face details except in Oblivion and ESO.

The Ehlnofay and Aedra are descendants of the conjoining of Padomay and Anu while the Daedra, particularly the more sentient and magical races, are descended from Padomay alone, so both have a level of shared Padomaic, especially with altmer and dunmer being the most directly descended of the Ehlnofay.

This is a little pedantic though. Every living thing on Nirn technically shares a common origin under this logic. I wouldn't day the elves and daedra princes share a common origin although that's technically correct under this definition.

Maybe so, but Aldmer are typically stereotyped as the most similar to the elhnofay. Elhnofay essentially being cousins of the daedra could explain the similarities. Also the fact that dunmer once looked akin to the Aldmer until being changed by a Daedra could also lead to some convergence since I assume the magic used in that process is similar to the magic that guided the evolution of Dremora and so on.

Skyrim has extremely bland and ****** quests and the quest lines are really short. I remember oblivian quests being way better but maybe that's nostalgia.

Defend the entire Mages Guild, Fighter's Guild and back half of the Dark Brotherhood plots right now. Oblivion is my favorite TES game but I don't have the contrarian need to pretend it didn't completely drop the ball in some areas.

The Mages Guild is a magic faction where you don't use magic while everyone does the most incompetent moves they could possibly make culminating in you fighting The King of Worms who is a generic altmer necromancer with a silver dagger and a magicka value so low he literally cannot cast some of the spells in his inventory.

The Fighter's Guild is an absolute slog where the crux of the narrative is fighting an evil mercenary group with vague motivations and requires the game to lock you into a room where you take magical hist sap to commit war crimes which is never hinted at before that point in the quest and doesn't explain the actions of anyone in the faction before or after that point.

The back half of the DB are bland assassination missions with a twist you can see the nanosecond it's borderline bat signaled when the icon, font, and prose of all the dead drops changes whilst you kill targets that all have some sort of DB paraphernalia on them but you just have to turn your brain off and do them because Lucien disappears from the game and you can do nothing about this.

He doesn't have this easy out because he already listed all of the guild quests as highlights.

Also it started the "master of every guild which means absolutely nothing" trend.
