Doom's trailer left a strong impression on me.
They've lost the plot.

So it's Eternal again. Great... I kind of dig the medieval theme but only aesthetically.

Doom is a gamey game. The lore/canon/continuity/whatever is unimportant, only that it is cool and fun.

Stop attacking woke on technical details, and start fighting the root problem. That being, it's wrong, immoral and demonic.
Yes, let's not attack the most obvious weakspot they could possibly have and instead focus on moralizing that can be dismissed with a simple "I don't care" / "I disagree".

Whether you like it or not, the vast, vast majority of people (the one playing their games, anyway) don't care that it's immoral. That they should care is beside the point; you don't get to pick and choose which audience you're trying to convince because the people we need to reach are those who keep these odious companies in business.

What you're doing is the equivalent of telling a bunch of Catholics that they should stop eating bacon because the Koran forbids it. You're deliberately and knowingly arguing from a moral position you know your audience doesn't share and it's, frankly, dumb as all hell to think it would work.

The point is to get them to stop buying this slop so the companies either go under or stop infesting everything they produce with this garbage. It would be nice if they were to stop for the right reasons but you're not going to get that.

You're indulging in the nirvana fallacy and you need to drop it. All you're achieving is that nothing changes at all.
Your opinion was already addressed in my post. You're wrong, you've got over 20 years of evidence to show it. "It's about ethics in journalism!"

You are of course also in the majority so you have plenty of company. Have fun losing for the 6,000,000th time.

I liked the first doom remake but this looks like a kickstarter trailer for a game that will never come out.

No, it wasn't.

Also, in case you've missed it, your "Don't do this because it's immoral an demonic!" argument has been losing pretty much constantly since before the invention of video games. That's the point. You're the priest sitting comfortably in your church and preaching to the choir, wondering why less people show up each year and why no-one outside your echo chamber listens to a word you say.

People like you are the reason why the religious right has been losing ground pretty much since the 1950s. Which, appropriately enough, is roughly when video games were first in development. (The most primitive ones at least.)

Funnily enough people don't give a **** about how right you say you are. They only care if something they treasure is threatened or if they at least believe it to be so. Your arguments don't work outside this site and possibly a subset of other forums.

I wouldn't be surprised if I spent all of the next year without playing a new release. I can't be bothered to upgrade my computer yet and there's a massive backlog of classics that I need to play more of. I'm interested in seeing if Shadows of Doubt turns out to be good though.

Haven't been able to put a lot of time into it in one go but the game is ok. Small things can happen in the scenario that can easily **** everything up.

So they made more of what people liked and put a cool theme on top? Awesome! Why are you bitching?

If only Ion Storm had been so bold.

What a ******** take.

"I'm not content that they reject sin! I want them to call it sin and reject it for MY reasons because MY reasons are the only correct reasons! I don't want them to stop consuming the garbage until they stop because they agree with ME!"

An opinion so self-absorbed I can't call it anything but womanly.
