But they're not?

"While we do not intend to switch back to the same combat style as the first GreedFall, we do intend to make combat gameplay one of the main pillars of the early access, and a subject on which we will be particularly alert and attentive."

There's a bit in the middle where they claim to want it to appeal to both master tacticians and people who want to push button to win, and well, good luck with that.

I don't know, hard to say. I mean its still party based, but it could be anything. I still think they will make some significant changes to it.

Moreover, you can reset your choices, offering total flexibility to adapt your strategies according to the needs of your adventure.

By exploring the world and collecting resources, you can create or find a variety of useful items, ranging from weapons to healing potions and deadly traps. These items can be used to boost your abilities, heal your wounds and those of your companions, or even weaken your enemies. The crafting system adds an additional layer of strategy and depth to the gameplay experience.

I like it! The combat gifs remind me of DA:O and of all games BG3 (mainly because the running around seems very similar to that, and I half expected the switch to combat changing it to turn based, looks like BG3 but real time with pause)

Indeed, that weird running/jumping animations looks a bit funky but other than that, it's much more than I had expected for a sequel.

A committee representing employees has published an open letter via union STJV, going through the alleged issues at the Nacon-owned studio, spanning several years.

44 workers out of Spiders' 95 staff signed the Spiders Action Committee letter as of August 27, with the strike to take place on September 2 and 3 in front of Spiders' offices and online on a Minecraft server set up for the occasion.

44 workers out of Spiders' 95 staff
44 jobs just opened up.

This follows an alleged failed meeting attempt with the head of the company on August 23. Spiders is headed by CEO Anne Devouassoux.

The committee said this also follows a previous strike that took place in January, primarily regarding remote working, as well as a previous open later that Spiders management has reportedly not addressed.
Jesus **** they've striked like 4 times in the last 6 months????!
Employees want remote work and more pay and have further lists of demands..

... is the gender balance and pay gap because they have too many women they're paying more...? Because the top two and thus highest paid people at the company are women, what are these frogs on about?

Sounds like doubling in size ruined the company culture, same story as always.
