To be clear, if you subscribe once($15) you get all content released up to that point to keep even after canceling your subscription. It's probably the best monetized MMO, or at least the best monetized big-name MMO.
Wanted to add something to this as I also play (hoping for more story) SWOTOR.
If you do the security thing key they might suggest to you, you get monthly shop currency, that you log in or not doesn't matter. You could leave it to build up and then buy races and the likes without spending a dime, though it takes time (I think it's 500 a month but I am not sure).
The key itself is like those bank gadget-thingies with a red button that give a number you need to type in everytime you log in but in the form of an app that doesn't require internet as well (no idea how it even works). Downside is that it is required to log in from then on, and you have to input the security number before a reasonably long timer runs out and a new number is generated. I recall also seeing quite a bit of stuff for the case someone was to lose access to said key, so I would do this only if you know you won't lose the thing or don't really care.

As for what game, I am unsure as I can barely be online at times, so I hope whoever game wins the honor of having a HQ of RPGHQ will give lots of fun and shenanigans! :heart: I personally always held WoW dear to my heart shenanigans-wise, but I only ever played quiet private servers where even the DM people were cracking jokes.

Last time I checked those they were a broken mess. Then there's the games that want to recreate SWG and these are ALSO a broken mess while simultaneously being a scam.

yeah ive been lookin for WotLK private servers since i only just realised they actually fuckin went through with Cata classic and replaced WotLK. all the characters i made in wrath... gone, lost to the wind....

just dont know what the best option is since so many have dumb **** like boosted xp, p2w garbage, or other changes to **** like mobs and whatnot

just want my peak wow era sesh bros.......
