Didn't realize it was only a 3 year gap between TW 1&2. It's a pretty big difference quality-wise. Also didn't know they released an expansion 8 years after the sequel came out. Seems like it's still up in the air if they'll make a third game though.

When I played a few months ago I tried to figure out how to fix the stutter and came up with nothing. Just pretend it's interference from the second world bleeding into reality or something.

This game definitely looks like it's from 2007 but it plays really smooth with no audio or graphical issues for me. Anyone know if there's any HD texture packs out there?

Try plopping dxvk next to the game's executable, tends to fix most issues with older DX8/DX9 titles, translates calls to modern Vulkan API.

open with 7zip -> x32 directory -> place all .dll next to the game's .exe in the installation directory

If it's working you'll see a file called GameName.dxvk-cache appear in the same directory, where GameName is whatever the name of the executable is.

Hmm, I seem to have a problem now with screenshots. Prior to the fix @Rusty told me about, I was able to do them but now nothing really works. (I could play it in windowed mode but it crashes as soon as I set it to a small resolution than my screen and refuses to even run when I try to start it again)

Really wish I had known how good the concentration spell is earlier. Haven't done too much magic experimentation due to the pointless 3 spell slot limit. Did find out that the summon limit of 1 only applies per monster, so you can throw down as many as you have the cards for.

Maybe they'll remake this after Gothic

Edit: definitely rebind your spell slots to 1, 2, 3.

They really frontloaded the good stuff. There comes a point where it's just annoying to sift through enemies for gear upgrades. Only wish I found someone to teach me necromancy.
The final cutscene didn't play - just kicked me back to the main menu after beating the final boss. Off to YouTube!

Game sure got its Atmosphere down. Places felt very fitting to their names and stuff.
