You do get weapons, but it's true that they won't give you any kind of gun because guns are bad.
I should have said no lethal weapons.
IIRC, all you get are irritants that (maybe) drive the creatures off.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

You can definitely kill things in several ways. I killed a lot of things. There's the knife, the electroshock on the little sub does damage, you can kill things by smacking them with objects using the gravity ray things, and then the torpedoes for the big sub.

When I last checked it out I think many of those weren't added yet?

Surprised the twerp allowed lethal torpedoes.

All the weapons, including the torpedos are non-lethal. Anyway that you can kill is a right pain in the backside, mostly intentionally.

The electroshock just puts them to sleep for a while.

The drill arm for the prawn suit is the best way to kill anything.

Unless this was all neutered some time after the red cross update, you absolutely can kill things in those ways I mentioned, you just have to hit them multiple times. I did this.

Okay, then I don't think hitting things a few times is a "pain in the backside", that's just normal vidya game combat. Do you only want to have to click once?

Maybe something was changed but I remember you having to hit things way more than a few times. It was easier to just swim/jump past things for me.

The talk about Subnautica reminded me of this game called Barotrauma

I saw it first by watching a video of Markiplier playing with some friends. I recall they had potassium stored and the devs made it be able to react with water, which caused an explosion when it did, which reminded me of Space Station 13 in a way with all the combinations and possible ways to do things.
This was a few years back though, hope it did not get "corrected" in some way.

- Here to show my support for normal gaming.

Thank you for existing! :bounce:

Playing Cyberpunk 2077, wondered why I sometimes get this symbol:

Asked Brave search for the answer, their AI jumps in with this lunacy:

I gave Barotrauma's Steam cover art a quick glance, and my mind's eye thought it looked pretty similar to Quasimorph:
