Games you can play with only a mouse
Games you can play with only a mouse
Feel free to list any good/decent games that you can play with only a mouse. Doesn't need to be heavily story driver, just something you can casually play that can keep you entertained.
Mouse only:
Rimworld - Can play 100% mouse only.
Prison Architect - Almost 100% mouse only. The only thing you need the keyboard for is to press ESC for the menu which is required for options or to save/load/quit.
One Finger Death Punch - Can play 100% mouse only.
Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic - So far I think this is 100% mouse only. Side note that there is no volume control, only sound and no sound.
Balatro
Slay the Spire
Paleo - Keyboard needed to rotate fishing spots.
Mouse only as confirmed by board members
Old School Runescape
Darkest dungeon 1 and 2
Our Adventurer Guild
The Worms franchise
The Civilization Franchise
Vantage Master
IE games
MissionForce: CyberStorm with patch
Freelancer
Kamidori Alchemy Meister
Rise of the Dragon
Heart of China
The Adventures of Willie Beamish
Heroes of Might and Magic III
Arcomage
Broken Sword 1+2
Monkey Island 1+2
Syberia 1+2
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
Maniac Mansion
Grim Fandango
The Longest Journey
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
Thimbleweed Park
Adventure Quest
Transformice
Rebel Inc: Escalation
Sengoku Rance
Brotato
Dungeon Siege
Age of Empires II
Gwent
Cyclopean
Doesn't quite make the list:
Parkitect - Keyboard needed for a few things that are too frustrating to play without.
Games I suspect can be mouse only but have yet to check out:
Two Point Hospital/Campus
Dungeon Keeper/Dungeon Keeper 2
War for the Overworld

Oldschool runescape, mouse only.
Classic runescape was designed as a graphical MUD originally, and the interface was controlled entirely with the mouse. OSRS did little to change this, unlike RS3.

Darkest dungeon 1 and 2 and Our Adventurer Guild are a couple games I've recently played off the top of my head.
Card games are an obvious shoe in here.
TRPGs in general.
The Worms franchise.

I would say the Civ games fit the bill 100% but AOE2 only does sort of, you're losing a lot of ease of use and ability to play well without hotkeys on your keyboard since its an RTS and playing slower actually matters.
Nice thank you. I was going to add Hearthstone to the list but **** Blizzard/Activision.A Chinese opium den wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 21:01Darkest dungeon 1 and 2 and Our Adventurer Guild are a couple games I've recently played off the top of my head.

The IE games can be played with a mouse only, and any of their attempted 'successors'. Hotkeys obviously help, but it's not something that would break the game for you.
Making heavy use of automatic pause would probably help.

Vantage Master. Turn based SRPG where you click on tiles or Natials to pop up a menu and select an action. No keybinds used.

The game is free to download from Falcom's website.

I'm going to either kick myself, feel stupid for asking or both: What's an IE game?rusty_shackleford wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 21:13The IE games can be played with a mouse only, and any of their attempted 'successors'. I thought it might be the makers of Caeser 3 but they're just called Impression Games.

I'll download it and give it a look regardless of mouse only or not. CheersVal the Moofia Boss wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 21:19Vantage Master. Turn based SRPG where you click on tiles or Natials to pop up a menu and select an action. No keybinds used.

Should I add these suggestions to my original post or leave it?
Actually, nevermind.
MissionForce: CyberStorm.

It works great on modern Windows with the patch: https://github.com/juanitogan/rbxit/wiki/CyberStorm-1

Seeing this reminds me that I was considering adding C&C to the list of games to check out but pretty sure it's not gonna be playable with just mouse.Acrux wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 21:55MissionForce: CyberStorm.

Rise of the Dragon
Heart of China
The Adventures of Willie Beamish
Off the top of my head. Older games tended to be mouse only.

If you list those, you can essentially list every single "classic" management game as well.Jordy wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 20:40Feel free to list any good/decent games that you can play with only a mouse. Yes, if they all can be played with mouse only. I'm not sure if that is always the case.1998 wrote: β July 27th, 2024, 17:37If you list those, you can essentially list every single "classic" management game as well.Jordy wrote: β July 26th, 2024, 20:40Feel free to list any good/decent games that you can play with only a mouse. I'm not looking for every game though. I'm interested in people's suggestions for games that are good and meet this criteria.1998 wrote: β July 27th, 2024, 18:20Yes, they can...Jordy wrote: β July 27th, 2024, 18:17Yes, if they all can be played with mouse only. Could always setup voice input with command macros and play many "keyboard" games as well. The Sierra games are fun to set this up with.
Is this like Rusty's suspicious "what games can I play with only one hand" topic?
I was wondering when this would come up. Took longer than I thought it would.BobT wrote: β July 27th, 2024, 19:31Is this like Rusty's suspicious "what games can I play with only one hand" topic?![]()

I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?
