I'd say they would learn their lesson after two-three major bombs, but all Capcom makes is Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and the occasional Street Fighter with very few new IPs in-between. And I'd wager even if Resident Evil 9 and the next Monster Hunter were extremely pozzed, it would still sell above expectations. The remake for Resident Evil 3 had a girlboss version of Jill among other things, and despite missing half of the original's content, it still sold well enough for Capcom to be pleased.

So unless their games see a steep decline in quality, I think the likes of synthetic man are going to buy and enjoy whatever they produce, even if every character was made gay and black.

Neither the manga, the movies, nor the anime ever support the ***** agenda. Everyone that does augment themselves stays the same gender, and people like the Major, whose body is mostly mechanical, are exceedingly rare, which is a plot point in several different iterations.

Plus, the setting is usually a post-WW3 Japan that got flooded by migrants and is now a decaying shithole. The whole cast is also cops.
