I don't add sequels/spin-offs until I beat the prior game, so it's kind of a mystery how many games I really have. Tried porting my list to Backloggery/HowLongToBeat but I abandoned each because it was taking too long.

I have an "Backlog.txt" that just essentially keeps track of all the GOG offline installers I pirated and all the patches I applied on top of them so I know if I'm on the latest patch, especially for modding purposes. But I try not to add any real backlog games for the future, just stuff I am currently playing or played. I used to keep track of all the literature, music albums, vidya, animu/manga but I burnt out hard and it turned into a chore. Deleted it all and now only consoom what I find sporadically without any greater plans.

You have never played Wasteland 3? Were you not constantly shilling for that?

And Tortured Hearts, module or that standalone clusterfuck he released a while ago?

Doesn't matter if a game he is shilling is good or not - he's not gonna play it but will attempt to shame you into doing it for him.

...I just keep the games I haven't had time to play in the 'uncategorized' section of my otherwise tidily categorized Steam profile. One day it will take over, as it is growing much faster than all categories combined.

I did play WL3, I couldn't completely finish it because it was bugged at launch + had extremely long load times. I want to replay it to finish it.

Decided to cut my "backlog“ down to 10 games max. Only games I have either missed (ATOM) or are out of my usual range, but I am interesting in trying them out (AssCreed), no replays currently.

1. Bioshock 2
2. Yakuza 4
3. Assassin's Creed Odyssey
4. ATOM
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
6. Need For Speed Most Wanted
7. Battlefield 1
8. NWNForBG
9. KotOr
10. SteamWorld Heist

I switched to using backloggd, it's much nicer and has many more games due to sourcing from IGDB

Did it manually.

Think my list of "Games I either want to play fully or at least try out" backlog is nearing completion.

Hummm....

Knight's Chase: Played the demo, hated every minute of it.

The Fairy Tale Adventure: I played and beat the Genesis version and dabbled with the Amiga one. Can't tell you which one is better, but obviously the Genesis one will be less of a hassle to get running and an emulator will let you skip the hideous password system.

Some of the Jedi Knight games have community patches that let them run perfectly on modern systems, check ModDB. I'd run Dark Forces through The Force Engine and save a lot of headaches.

Risen is really good and I still think it perfected the combat that started in Gothic, but you, being the contrarian you are will find at least 1,000,000 reasons why this isn't true and why Risen is terrible.

Eschalon is good, I had a lot of fun with it. Great classic vibes, magic is powerful like it should be and seems to make the game easier unless you run out of mana at the wrong time. Only real problem is that you move too slow.

Notrium came at a time when survival as a genre was formative and you could count the number of games on one hand. I never finished it, but I had a lot of fun playing it.

Betrayal in Antara is a poor man's BaK, but it's been so long since I played it I can't remember much about it, which also says a lot about how bland it must have been.

Mask of Eternity ran so poorly and loaded so slowly that I took it back to the store and when I played it years later I realized I'd made the right choice. The only reason to endure it is out of historical interest and morbid curiosity.

The Shadowgrounds games are decent fun and a pain to get running on modern systems. The first one has Lani Minella in it who was the voice of everyone back in the 90s and 2000s.

Return to Krondor is really short, so short that the person who bought it for my birthday got ****** that I finished it in just a few days.

Aeon of Sands: The Trail is nothing like Lands of Lore no matter what any mouthbreather tells you. It plays like Eye of the Beholder and if you don't like grid dancing you will despise it.

Amulets and Armor: Messed with this one a few times, but never got very far. Not very intuitive.

Are you referring to the dark forces that just got a remaster?

Yeah, I wouldn't bother with the remaster since the remastered cutscenes look like ****. Last time I played Dark Forces I used The Force Engine. https://theforceengine.github.io/downloads.html
