Originally posted by Scottina123 on Nexus Mods in early 2023, but then suddenly deleted one day. Turns out the reason is that someone on Twitter notified the voice actress of Jack that it used AI to replicate her voice, and she was not onboard with that.

Overview
Allows Jack to participate in the four missions of the Citadel DLC. DO NOT use this mod if you aren't romancing her, otherwise Shepard and Jack will act like they are together.

I do, though I'm not sure if it is the latest version of the mod. From what I recall it's not particularly compatible with other mods, so use at your own risk.

It was taken down because the voice acting **** complained about mods using AI models on her voice.

From what I saw, it seemed that I was the most vocal one on Nexus when it came to this mod and Scottina always seemed very annoyed with it. He tried to scrub it from the internet, saying he would never recreate it either. I had even asked other people with similar skills if they'd be willing, and they said that Scottina wouldn't allow them to.

I admit that I downloaded those Butt Shot Restorations because they were in the original games and that's what I was most used to. The people who released the Legendary Edition claim it was for just one scene but nah, it was for more.
It's like for a tiny scene in Mass Effect 2, I saw that it was changed (it was fixed with the Unofficial LE2 Patch) and it irked me so much cuz I knew what it was supposed to be

modders tend to be weird

So many of the modders for Mass Effect are complete assholes that get snippy when you request mods/patches or have mild criticisms. The more popular mod authors also have a complex where they're like "I SPENT MY PRECIOUS TIME MAKING THIS FOR YOU, PEASANTS, SO BE GRATEFUL"

To be fair, I only shared it to spite the ******** modder and the VA **** that threw a hissy fit over it.

Fair. Modding is free and doesn't hurt the VAs so I don't get why people feel like they need to have a moral high ground, as if it's some detrimental thing

The voice actress forbade any AI mods so the mod author hid the mod. Luckily, you can't remove files from Nexus anymore so the direct links still work.

Tough ****, if she didn't want AI mods she should have kept her mouth shut.

I think how ModHQ works is it updates incrementally based on the posts. So it should be there soon.

It has been a while since I've discussed the status of the new ModHQ, but I've actually been working on a lot of features that were necessary to finish prior to continuing work on it.
So I thought I'd just touch base with those who care and let them know where I am currently.
I've been working on the frontend for a bit now after doing large amounts of the work required on the backend, testing out technology suitable for our needs, etc.,

The placeholder data is being pulled from the server, not generated on the frontend. That is, the infrastructure is all there to support this, I just need to finish the website itself. Could I have pulled data from the existing ModHQ? Sure, but A. It would have taken time to convert it, and B. There simply isn't enough data, I needed to generate a lot of data to see how the database queries perform.



I still have a lot of work ahead of me, but yes, it is being worked on and has not been abandoned. I'll post more progress here as I finish up the various parts of the site that I have in varying degrees of working order.

Mass Effect 2 is probably my favorite RPG. I absolutely love the character writing in it (except for a certain black character that not even the lefties like)

I'm sorry, I have no clue how to do that. I'd love to, but I don't know how to port mods/make DLC mods. I was able to bring this mod here cuz it was made for MELE. I only know how to create mostly basic texture mods
