Just replayed Cyberpunk 2077 with the DLC and the 2.12 patch.
They completely reworked a ton of systems, from leveling your character to how equipment and armor works. It's impressive the amount of work they put into it.
It's a shame the story is so ****. You're just a cancer patient with Keanu as an aggressive insufferable tumor.
The DLC is even worse. You thought playing second fiddle to Johnny was fun? Well, how about a ***** hacker **** that is also an all-powerful cyber demon? She betrays you twice and constantly lies to you, but the one time you decide to stop her insanity, she chimps out and screeches at you for betraying her.
Oh, and the entire story revolves around her and Idris Elba's relationship. There's a part of the last mission where you're just stuck in a room having to watch all the flashbacks of them together. And the mission itself is an Alien: Isolation rip-off.
I sunk nearly a hundred hours into it by doing all the side-quests and ****, and I had plenty of those left over. But the DLC was so revolting that I just dropped everything, finished the game and deleted it.
2020 version was awful, both technically and story-wise. 2024 version is okay technically and mechanically, but the story is just as bad if not worse.
Do not recommend.
Hey, that was my first exposure to the Dark Phoenix storyline. I liked all the cartoon backstories, like with the Tombstone or the Bullet or the Quetzalcoatl.
