'Skins' have ruined online games

I'm completely taken out of a game when I see someone running around in a cartoon character costume or in a military setting looking like a rapper.
Somehow this was meant to be a ""good"" alternative to real DLC. No paid content DLC has caused as much displeasure to me as this.

Every online game has been ruined by 'silly' skins.

Could not agree more with this threat, *literally unplayable*. The only thing annoying me more than people using trashy skins (even "fitting" ones that still look ****, because people have no taste), is no option to disable skins from being shown on your end in almost any game that has them.

(CoH2 is the only game coming to mind that has this option)

Agree there should be an option to disable them. Know there never will be since other people seeing the dumb purchase is a driver of sales.

All of these cosmetic options are also a framerate tax.

Helldivers 2 has such a beautiful default set of armor and they REFUSE to release anything that uses the same color palette, let alone a piece that looks like it was created in the same universe.

I don't think any games selling those skins were good to begin with. Just a nice way to let any non-****** know to avoid that "game".
