Of Orcs and Men

Lead the revolution of the Orcs and Goblins!

In a world at war, the vast Empire of Men tries to extend its domination over the territories of the Orcs and Goblins, who are systematically persecuted, enslaved and massacred. Through this great role-playing game, lead a fearsome Orc warrior, and a Goblin master of assassination and stealth.

You have been appointed to fulfill an extremely dangerous mission, deep in enemy territory: to kill one man... the Emperor himself. Fight your way through a terribly hostile world to reach the objective of your quest. Level up, learn and develop powerful skills, and finally free your people from the yoke of the Empire!

Junior Adventurer's Guild

This is the Kidz Klub version of The Adventurer's Guild. The goal is to get people playing more recent classics, weird little charming RPGs, hidden gems, and ideally give people a fun chance to try games they haven't played before with their good friends at RPGHQ. I highly encourage voting for games you haven't played before! Maybe try a completely new build if it's a game you've already finished.
How exactly are the requirements for games here different than the main thread? IDK just look at the list above and go with the flow. They should be approachable for people who haven't grown up with real old school CRPGS, and if they have direct sequels we should generally play them in order.

► Hall of Champions
► Potential Games

I hope it's not going to be System Shock 2. It's still too fresh in my memory for a replay.

Of Orcs and Men looks a bit weird of what I watched on youtube
SS2 would be first choice but it can wait
Arx Fatalis would be alright but Id probably opt for Dark Messiah replay over it
Dont know anything of Amalur

Never played Redemption so Im going with that.

I played Kingdoms of Amalur reckoning way back when. I think I have given it two attempts. I really, really wanted to like it since it was one of the few colorful AAA Western fantasy RPGs and it had RA Salvatore writing for it, but I always lost interest by the time I reached the city at the Northeastern tip of the first landmass.

Arx is something I constantly see compared to Morrowind. So that might be something I'll try.

It's fine you still get the badge for completing the game no matter how late and you can still vote on this months games regardless.

You guys might want to reconsider VTMR, I played it recently and enjoyed it but it caused a lot of strain on my wrist due to the mouse behavior. I had to stop playing it because it was hurting my wrist.

Not really too interested in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning since it's an MMO cut down into a single-player game IIRC.

Still, whatever people pick, I'm fine with it.

I have OG amalur, but not remake amalur.

Anyway I beat SS2 and VTMB before most of you were even born, so where's my badge?

I suggested Kingdoms of Amalur because I played it for about an hour or two when it first launched. I thought putting it up for a vote is a good excuse to actually play it through. If it really is as boring as people say it is, I'd advocate to not vote for it. Being boring is probably the worst thing a game can be.
I didn't think the voting choice would be so small when I suggested KoAR. I just thought it would be added to the overall pool of games, else I'd have given it a lot more thought.

The weird alien dimension **** in System Shock 2 is the farthest I got. It came out of nowhere and I kinda lost interest.

VTMR was my first experience with the World of Darkness. I thought the concept of playing through different ages is neat. All I remember, though, is running around a mine and talking to some ****** named Kosmos. Also, the protagonist is a Brujah but has access to every other Clan discipline, which I thought was lame.

I played a very tiny bit of Arx Fatalis. I remember having to cast magic by swishing and flicking the mouse and getting lost in underground tunnels.

I have not played Of Orcs and Men at all outside of launching it once to see if it would run without any problems on my PC, so I'll be voting for that game.

Just load up the save and take a screenshot if it's recent enough.

After I beat the July game, I will be shilling for BG1. I think we should to a BG1+totsc with character export. Followed by Bg2+ToB with character import. Not necessarily back to back but this would set us up for after the BG3 mods get finalized. I think rpghq should do a bg3 month as a huzzah for the modders who have worked hard for us, they deserve it.
