There's a lot of walking simulators where the protagonist is alone and keeps silence. Or Dear Esther, INFRA, Scorn, etc etc.

Where the character legitimately is mute the entire game or games like KOTOR where the protag speaks but isn't voiced?
The first Jak and Daxter has Jak be a mute for the entire game.

HL1 was like this through large portions of the game and that was one of its appeals for me, and the forced companion was one of the reasons I hated the sequel.

I'm not sure I understand the requirement. Do you want games where the protagonist is the only living creature around, or games where there are enemies but no NPCs and the protagonist doesn't talk?
