This is an awesome ww2 combat sim with RPG elements. It's easily the most challenging flash game I've ever played:

Bowmaster games were among my favorites.

Mud and Blood has a new version on Steam now.

More than you probably realize, as Flash still lives on.

There's the surgeon game series Dark Cut that is short and gross but edgy fun: https://armorgames.com/play/40/dark-cut
Road of the Dead is a driving zombie game where you are trying to escape in your car: https://www.gameflare.com/online-game/road-of-the-dead
Mardek RPG series is a solid JRPG: https://www.kongregate.com/games/pseudo ... -chapter-1
Epic Battle Fantasy series for your more ridiculous JRPG needs: https://www.kongregate.com/games/kupo70 ... -fantasy-3
Tactical Assassin series for popping heads: https://www.addictinggames.com/shooting ... l-assassin
Endless War series is a good top down 2d shooter, theres 7 of them now I guess but the last one I played was 3: https://www.addictinggames.com/shooting/endless-war-3
Telepath tactics games are good, telepath flash games are good: https://www.kongregate.com/games/Sinist ... -psy-arena
Rebuild series to get your shelter together in a zombie apocalypse: https://www.kongregate.com/games/sarahn ... /rebuild-2

Warfare 1944 and the Last Stand (especially Union City), from the same dev as the game in the op.

The Company of Myself - an interesting puzzle platformer where you have to run through the level several times and make use of your previous runs to get past obstacles. It was unfortunately wrapped up in faggy 'mental health' related whining that would go on to permeate indie horror games in the late 2010s. The creator worked on Spewer with the guy who would go on to make Super Meat Boy. He also made a sequel, Fixations.

Strike Force Heroes was alright. Sister offshoot of Raze from the same creator. Had a PC release on steam in november.

ha sherwood was always a good meme, running around as skellybros doing the dumb little fuckin dance by holding up and down on the arrow keys at the same time

some of the other games they had on that MaidMarian website were a laugh too, like the tanks one and the moon one

I always liked Kingdom Rush:

https://armorgames.com/play/12141/kingdom-rush

I imagine there are probably way better Tower Defense flash games out there (that I dont know of) but this one always entertained me by being simple yet not banal, and having cool, bright but not-offensive graphics and art.

@Irenaeus you might like Gemcraft, it's the best Flash Tower Defense game I've ever played: https://www.silvergames.com/en/gemcraft

I believe it also has a sequel on Steam.

I just found out that Undefined has all of his games on Steam.

Nerdook recently got control back over his games from his previous publisher, too. Some, but not all, of his games are there too.

Off the top of Newground's unsorted list of games I've played:
(meaning it's not personal best of the best picks, but are outstanding nonetheless)

Creeping, a dimetric (is that the word? I'm not sure) stealth action game.
Has jump, teleport, distraction, cover, assassination, and tons of shooting.
https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/532966

Neonball by Ori Brusilovsky, hand-eye coordination puzzle. High production value. Simple yet fun.
(Don't be confused by other games of the same name, such as the one on steam)
