Hideo Kojima is the greatest game dev of all time

Post by King Crispy »

Why Konami burned Hideo Kojima (and how it cost them)

Konami seriously ****** up by getting rid of Kojima. All of Konami's respect disappeared with getting rid of him. The biggest crime against humanity is destroying PT.

Del Toro (one of the greatest directors of all time, check out Pan's Labyrinth) and Kojima (the only game director that can marry game and cinema in a competent manner) could have created one of the greatest horror games of all time eclipsing even Resident Evil.

I can only hope that Del Toro and Kojima Productions can team up again.

I don't think his firing or even his involvement were as important as many gamers make them out to be. How is it that Konami was making a mistake, if the intent of the company has always been to turn a profit? Since he left, the company has drastically grown. Kojima was and still is interested in making the best game possible, and this was in direct conflict with virtually every other aspect of Konami.

Don't forget Kojima best friend: Geoff Highguard.

Yeah but they've "grown" by swindling jap ******* with pachinko, not actually making anything of value

Not that I'm defending Kojima here. I'm pretty neutral on the guy since the only games of his I've played are MGS1-4 and VR Missions (is that even his?)

He acts like a clout-chasing westaboo ****** on social media. I'm going to assume they made the right decision.

I'm sure others will attack the claim from other angles. I am going to go with: he can't be the greatest game Dev because he directs films, not games. :smug:

I struggle to understand how money isn't of value. But, I get the gist of what you're saying in how they stopped making "good" games.

Why would I or anyone except Konami shareholders give even the slightest bit of a **** about their financials? Make good video games or **** off. Very jewish mindset in this post

I thought this thread had something to do with just that, given the video and all. But really, could you apply the same logic to Konami's perspective? No individual there has an obligation to make video games outside of their job, and even that is solely to turn a profit. It's funny that you call it Jewish, because you know, Konami's a Japanese company after all.

Swindling jap ******* with pachinko is gigabased, though. You should do it too.

Sorry I didn't mean to imply that wasn't based, it just doesn't benefit me personally compared to if they still made stuff like old Suikoden and MGS
