Yea it's not exactly like these games flopping was new, concord just got the most attention. Everyone who wants to play these games is already playing one.

Brink has more concurrent players than both Concord and Highguard :smug:

They really need stop targetting 12 year olds with these games. Kids want edgy stuff where heads explode and you can impale people on spike traps and I too. Like in Bulletstorm.

If I were to critique this, I'd just say I don't get the characters. The entire point of a hero shooter to make unique characters that have easily identifiable traits, these are just… characters.

Look at how effortlessly Valve conveyed these concepts in their first trailer:

(I'm not a TF2 fan FYI, it's just a very well done example)

You could argue that it's not fair to compare a trailer… I guess? IDK. Here's the trailer for the game in the OP:

It doesn't actually establish the characters, the entire trailer is busy telling you about their Totally Unique and Original Setting!

I think Highguard was 2 while Marathon is 3.
Concords:

Concord -1
Highguard -2
Marathon -3,
Fairgames -4
Horizon hunters gathering -5

4 and 5 might be switched, it depends on release date

IDK where Time takers falls within this but it depends on release date

With 12 I played pokemon and Ocarina of Time/Mario/Smash Bros, Mario Card tho. Most edgy stuff I had was battle chess on PC where you got monty python dark knight references at that age.

yeah I think the options arround 1996 were not that big yet anyway PS1 was like 1-2 years old and no xbox in sight. Doom was like 3years old. But I doubt they would have sold that to me in the shop...
