Tower defense games
I played millenium war Aigis on the Japanese version for quite some time.
Resident Anti-feminist MRA, Race-mixer and no I'm not woke and not gay. Married with children, My writing style is shit, live with it or ignore me.
Wc3 custom games have some fun ones, like Element TD, Wintermaul, Legion TD, Tower Survivors and Random Farm TD. Some of em got made in Dota 2 custom games too
Then of course plenty of flash games, but the only one in particular i remember playing much was Kingdom Rush

It's THE tower defence.
Iren's PbP - Felix
I can't disagree that Kingdom Rush is the premiere TD, but I prefer others over it.
Gemcraft is my favorite.
Defender's Quest is good.
Bloons TD is supposed to be very popular, I can't get past the artstyle though.

There's an interesting series I played called "Anomaly", which is a tower Offense.
Kinda fun turning it on it's head.
Kalarion essentially beat to the punch with all 4 he mentioned.
Others, that I enjoyed or had recommended to me, have been:
Dungeon Warfare Series (these are basically the most stock, generic TD games, but they worked well enough to keep me entertained)
Defense Grid: The Awakening (barely touched the 2nd, but the first one was good)
Creeper World Series (not my cup of tea, but have had people swear on these)
Nordhold (this one has a bunch of QoL features that I appreciated. I just suck at it)
Infested Planet (leans more RTS, but it also had strong TD elements)
Dungeon Of The Endless (2nd game was a joke and should be overlooked. First was good though)
clickyland (its a Sokpop game. If you don't know them... imagine a company that spam releases smaller titles all built around their own unique mechanic and are slightly more feature complete than a "game jam" game. It was a fun few hours though)

I always hated tower defense. Gemcraft and undefined's Protector series were probably the closest I ever came to liking one though. That counts as some kind of endorsement.
VAE VICTIS
I liked that one with the zombiestein themed one with the resource-collecting puzzle where I got to crush other players into paste in it. I forget the name. Alas, it died long ago. But it's so rare that something like this contain WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE.
And for all those kids who don't know how to make Flash work anymore, they can all be had on Steam now.
For whatever it's worth, Steam saw this thread and decided to hold a "Tower Defense Fest". I'm not sure the link will preview anything, but I'll paste it below.
