NetEase is CHURNING out games

Post by Maledict »

Has anyone else noticed how NetEase seems to be now churning out any type of games, mainly/only online multiplayer which is very similar to anything which was remotely popular?

Fall Guys was popular - Eggy party
Games for women with kpop boys were popular - they put out some
Battleroyale was popular - they pushed out some
And so on and so on. It is genuinely eerie how much games they're pushing out now. HOW? Is this just asset flipping? I liked Once Human initially, but I quit due to the server wipes.

They have a game upcoming which reminds me of Claire Obscur:

apparently they did a MOBA:

this gives me Valorant vibes:

this reminds me of Once Human...?, which is theirs, but if they can make it better I'd be happy:

NetEase has been infamous publisher in the MMO community for coming up on two decades so it wouldn't surprise me.

They are a publisher, so they can scoop up many studios (either studios they have agreements with, approach, or studios that for whatever reason can't or are not able to get other publishers or selfpublish). They don't develop every game themselves.

I won't look into this at all and I'll just assume that a rich Chinese company is buying developers with their riches to generate more riches

So, I cannot help but notice like half of the games you listed don't even exist and the other half are things I've never heard of. What's this tell me other than they're a publisher of vaporware and slop?

Asians are really good at making lower quality carbon copies of games that inevitably outcompete the original versions, which are continuously patched with downgrades every 1-2 months by women and indians hired after the game/genera meets unexpected success. Its got to be the natural lack of all subtlety and shame that gives them their edge.

Well, the Asian market is larger than the Western market. That means inferior knockoff still has a larger audience it can be sold to. Including FILTHY WEEBS.

I like Identity V

...or maybe I would if I could ******* play it! Those ******* didn't even have a EU server for like 4 years, and even after they finally ******* bought one, for some reason european players still get matched in ******* Washington half the time (light through fiber ALONE takes 90ms for a round-trip :broken:).

...well I suppose this one is also a dead by daylight rip-off, so I guess you are still correct. I've heard it does pretty well in Asia though.

They did evolve to grow a **** ton of rice (and cheap products in general) after all, I suppose it only makes sense. And Dead by Daylight does indeed have wokeness and grind which aren't present in Identity V, so you would be correct about the completely optional and self-inflicted downgrades too.
