Scarlet Seeker, RPGHQ's favorite game review YouTuber could use some help

His video appeal:

My take is donate or not as you will, but could you please give the guy's channel a follow and boost his visibility to other gamers if you have any way to do it.
It's a shame that he only has 35.7k subscribers when I regularly see NPC ****** game channels with 5-10x that number.
You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Yep. Watch the video. He's GOT a job. He's just being forced to decide whether to focus on that or videos.
The choice is between much less content and he has a full time career, or more content and his job is just a side-gig.

This is true, but equally true is that giving your money to Youtube video reviewers is gay.

I doubt he'll get anything close to 1/10th what he'd make at mcdonalds
unless you're incredibly popular you can't make a career off of patronage

Now that ads are cratering(I touched on this elsewhere), I suspect you're going to see a lot of smaller creators just disappear. Unless you live in jeetlandia ad money isn't going to get you ****. Everything is being optimized for the global median, which is ******* poor.

I am sorry for his situation but then again this is the guy that failed to denounce Dragon Age: Dead Name as the woke piece of trash that it is. I know Rusty likes him but to me, he lost any amount of credibility on his opinion about videogames with that video.

1) begging
2) never heard of him
3) not Majuular or Marshe

To put it another way, if you end up having to ask, the videos aren't good enough yet to be profitable. Better keep practicing.

This thread made me realize I should make HQ Platinum a subscription service since most people forget to cancel those

I always made fun of people that forget to cancel stuff until it happened to me. Twice in the same month!

Your brain hates remembering tiny subscriptions!

The sad reality is it's extremely difficult to make money on YouTube nowadays. Ad revenue isn't worth spit unless you have millions of regular viewers, and every creator under the sun has a Patreon so you're just competing with everyone else.

I know a guy who just started ******** out Sora AI video shorts and he has 10 million views in the last month. It's not that hard tbh.

Maybe, but I did a quick search and didn't find any results saying that.

Seems like it would be difficult to enforce with how realistic looking they are getting. The watermark is easily removable, but I guess if someone manually shuts it down, it's possible, if they want to spend the resources on doing that. But nobody has done it yet to the guy I know.

Even if it is monetized, that brings up another good point, there's also legions of AI videos made by ***** to compete with. The entire YouTube ecosystem is no longer sustainable, even for those larger channels.

Google has a lot of money to waste - if people are clicking and watching ads, then I don't see why they wouldn't pay out.
