Probably, if we're going to do it, a version number should be clearly indicated and some kind of note added in the event of later updates to say "some of this might not apply to the current state of the game".
...I guess we should do that ANYWAY, since release games go through post-release QA these days too.

The Necromancer's Tale isn't technically in EA and has already received major updates since the time I finished it, what now, *******?

This is why I haven't reviewed Elder Leg- I mean YAR. Imagine if I had reviewed it and then they renamed. It would be chaos.

No. EA reviews will be a festival of wishful thinking.
I'm okay with this, even though I don't particularly like it. I guess you could say I do not have an opinion on this matter.
In the past I've thought that game reviews (elsewhere) should have a little info blurb with the version number, completion status, and difficulty played.

Anyway, it's pretty **** late to start pitching a fit over early access games when I already reviewed Deadzone Rogue.
Oh wait, Nerd Arc Line isn't out yet either. It's way too late.

Not only should EA not be supported, both the concept and the company btw, but the review will always lead to scores of potential that allow indies that bait people into buying games that will never be finished by using a vertical slice.
Don't make the problem worse.

I think you can make an evaluation of something at any point. You don't even need to have actually touched something to make a value judgement on it. We can tell if games are going to be **** just based off of who is making it and their character/reputation/prior works, whatever PR speak they give out, screenshots and trailers, etc. Ofcourse, for "published review" sites, the people coming to these sites want to hear from people who have actually touched the thing, but I don't think you need to wait for the "final release" or whatever. They want to know whether or not the thing is good in its current state, the likelihood of it becoming worthwhile later on, or to just read about some novelties of the experience without having to waste their time and money.
If the creators only wanted to judge something at its best, then they should only unveil their product when it is at its best. If you are going to charge money for something then expect to get judged for what you are delivering.
