I recently, at the time of writing, got into Helldivers 2 but found out with great displeasure that many of the mods are broken and most mod authors just leave them or sit on them after promising fixes that never come while also closing permissions so no one can fix them for them. My aim is to help.
To install these mods, I suggest using this mod manager

HD2ModManager https://www.nexusmods.com/helldivers2/mods/109 ) began to give issues of a grey screen with some mods, changing manager was the only fix.
Do ignore the file above if it is not one to your liking, it is just as example and because I had to leave something up there to make the topic.
Below are the list, ongoing, of mods that either I myself use or was told stopped working and that I fixed. Do search alphabetically (by their Nexus page name). I am unsure how big this list might become, but am leaving the option just in case.

I would prefer the mod authors take responsibility for their work, but in the meanwhile, and in case anything happens to me, I will also leave this here with the added information that I have found so that it might be of use to others into continuing to fix these. The guide is not long in the least, it just takes some getting used to but, after the initial headaches of setting things up, it is a breeze. Many mods can be fixed in under 10 minutes (10 minutes being the more comprehensive files like voice swaps with many lines of dialogue. Music files can be under 2-3 minutes).

First things first, I recommend watching through this guy's video
He will explain and detail everything there is to know. UP UNTIL the ending. When he says to compress the files, don't, you will just need to select both of those that are created, in my experience thus far at least, and then add them together into a .zip archive that you can name however you want (the name of the mod should be the choice to make it recognizable).
Another difference with the above is that, as you reader noticed, the video is to MAKE mods. To, instead, update something, instead of opening the Helldivers Data Folder through Audio Modder, click instead on the second option, to open a file through File Explorer, skipping the whole WWise part. This file that we are looking for is from whatever mod you want to update. The file must end with .patch_0 NOT stream (not sure if it does the same, but this is step by step what I did, feel free to explore and share your finds below!). This will open the file of the mod itself. You will see the modified white files. Select each of them and click to extract them as .wem files (right click,
Dump as .wem). Collect all these files into a folder for easier access. Once that is done, re-select the modified files in Audio Modder if they were un-selected (all of them, as before, any that are white must be selected), and then go up above once more on the left and follow the video with the step to Import > Import Audio Files. When it asks you what files, you select ALL of the .wem you just extracted to replace them. Once that is done, follow the video above as if you were making a new mod and add the last step of adding BOTH files to a .zip archive. Import this .zip archive (drag and drop) into the mod manager, enable it, deploy, and you are done
Disclaimer that I changed the archive names to remember them better, do feel free to rename them, it doesn't break the mod to do so
