Dawn of War Definitive Edition

For discussing tactical and strategy games. What's the difference between tactics and strategy anyways?

Dawn of War Definitive Edition

Post by ThulsaDoomer »

Relic has just come out with their announcement for Dawn of War Definitive Edition, I assume realising the success that Age of Empires DE has garnered for the series and doing so with Dawn of War would actually generate revenue. Here's the official trailer.

And here's the trailer with fixed audio that Relic likely ran through an AI that proceeded to mute most of the sounds. They also just omitted certain audio. No idea why.

My biggest deal breaker for this will be their pathfinding improvements as this was an incredibly awful hindrance in the game, even for RTS of its time. I'm also concerned about potential removal of content or alteration, considering how ******* botched the trailer is, but we'll have to see.

Is it too much to ask for a single remaster that only updates the resolution, decompresses audio, and unlocks the framerate, while doing nothing else?

biggest deal breaker
Relic being involved in the process, in any way, shape or form.

They're not the company they used to be decades ago. I'm not even sure how they're still in business, not having released anything worthile in years.

I'd also like an option to modernise the control scheme.
