Oh, sweet! I jumped into the CBT. Day one, the optimisation was total garbage. they dropped a patch super quick, and after that, I had zero issues. Now, I'm just hyped for the full game.
Chrono Odyssey is a carbon copy of New World, but with way more character customisation – hope they nerf that, though, 'cause those freaks from Ark... nah.
Crafting, skills, levelling up – it's basically New World, just with a few minor tweaks. Boss fights definitely have a souls vibe, especially if you go in under-geared. Exploring this world should be pretty lit, at least at first. Oh, and I really hope they brighten the game up a bit; it looked super grey to me.

I'm stoked there's a New World alternative, because those Amazon devs are completely unhinged – they banned me and told me to change my name 'cause it had "too many forbidden characters" (Zbyszek). Seriously?!

Had the same impression like Zbys.
Day one was rough, performance issues even at the lowest settings.
A patch dropped, and performance is no longer a problem, though there are still some lighting issues, but that is fine.
Character creation has limitations on facial customization but you can make ****** up freaks bodywise. I saw someone with yellow skin, a fridge-like torso, thin upper arms, and massive lower arms. ******* hate that ****.
Crafting is solid and, if I recall correctly, not heavily reliant on RNG—you craft what you want with the upgrades you choose. Skills are limited to four per weapon, but there are more than four skills available to pick from for each weapon. You can equip two of the three weapons and switch between them as needed.
I look forward to it because I am not a troglodyte that jumps on the bandwagon of "The game sucks!!1! Looks **** and plays like ****." I knew beforehand that the beta build we get to play is a heavily outdated one because Kanon (a youtuber) already played the game twice and said that this is the build he first played and that most problems here have been fixed and also other things got changes.

Sorry, dude, that's a Czech name. (And yeah, Czechia is in Europe, a little south of Germany and Poland.
