Why don't more RPGs have camp/dinner scenes with the party?

For discussing role-playing video games, you know, the ones with combat.

Seems like an obvious way to reinforce to the player that your party is living together and bonding, no?

EDIT: I mean as a mechanic where you see them camping, not as a one off main story cutscene.

Trying not to draw attention to how silly it is to go camping in a murder dungeon?

Because mercenaries aren't paid for their banter?

Having to find an isolated room so you can barricade the door and hear the pounding footsteps of goblins outside would be cozy
Thank you for your attention to this matter!

You really want to see a dinner scene written by modern devs? All the characters marvel quipping at each other?
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

The Arisen's Refuge in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is very comfy because of this. Especially when the Grim Reaper was chasing you.

That LotR Valheim rip-off with ****** dwarves in it had that mechanic, with having to build shelter from all the orcs and goblins skulking about.

It's not worth it. It's having to sit through dozens of hours of looking at ugly elves and ugly humans and witnessing lore rape on a massive scale only for a couple of hours tops of ***** cringe from Traash.

I think there'll be better uses for your time, like watching paint dry, watching grass grow, etc.

Dragon's Dogma 2 also has a camping system. and like others already said, it has a beautiful cozy feeling to do so. I am giving this game a pause after my saves were deleted, but I think I recall there being also chance to be attacked during camp. I also really liked seeing the food being cooked (which are real life videos).
I am sure there are other games such as these that I played, but I think they were more safe zone like Dead Space, but I cannot recall at the moment.
