Anyone played this? PSX-style action game with Dark Souls-style combat. Screenshots look cool

I played the demo and it's not good. I had a different conception of this game from just the trailer.

First of all, this is a "roguelite", meaning it's a game focused on runs and generated levels. Each level is just a collection of randomly connected, samey rooms, with 1-3 types of enemies. The combat system has none of the depth that DS does. It all feels very stiff and stilted.

This might be the demo's fault, but you start the game with the same gear every time, in the same place. So your first 10 minutes are going to be boringly identical to the last time you started. It doesn't feel like the unlockable gear makes the game any more interesting. E.g. the first shield you unlock is literally the same as the one you already have, except it has +2 in defense. I dropped it bros.

BTW the art direction is inconsistent and incongruent with the PSX aesthetic. There's a CRT filter, PSX-style vertex snapping, and a TV letterboxing that can be enabled in the settings. The models and the texture were all made to evoke PSX graphics. But at the same time, they're using depth blur, soft shadows, per pixel lighting, and other effects that ruin the illusion of it being a PSX game. It's like the graphics were directed by two people whose goals were at odds.

jcd the *** iggy'd Maidenhaver, who also gifted it to me and:
So far, I've explored three different areas and battled three bosses.
Each boss encounter had a unique and enjoyable aspect to it. The first Area was "Hunters Garden" a hedge maze, and when I reached the Boss arena, he was positioned in a tower, firing at me while I attempted to close the distance. I had to take cover to avoid his shots, some cover could be destroyed.

The second boss was located in an arena, and I had to defeat his henchmen before destroying the pillars that supported the floor where he was seated.
I've had access to various weapons, including a Naginata, Longsword, and brass knuckles. Shields come in different weights, such as heavy, medium, and light, and they often have additional stats and effects. My current shield has an effect that allows me to sprint and dodge without using stamina.

I've also used different types of armor, including light, medium, and heavy options. My current armor is a fat armor that grants me a sumo stomp attack. It's difficult to judge the game based solely on the demo, as the full version likely offers more content and features.

Yeah it looks like the demo has completely different content. The boss I fought was a big guy (for you) with like 3 different attacks, in a circular arena.
