Daisy sounds more interesting, but at the same time I'm not a mongoloid ****** who trusts mysterious dream figures in a game about losing your mind to an evil alien parasite, so it would never really affect me
In Early Access you would not even need to say you trust or agree with her, you would just need to use the powers, and those in Early Access had some that were quite cool (I did not play through them all, but the instant teleport to a party member, even durng combat, for Warlocks, reflecting shield for wizard and the auto-hide for thieves were very nice, also all were bonus actions that I recall, with more to come the more corrupt the character became).
Early Access had quite a bit of content and writing that was much better than the official release but were sadly cut or changed for the worse. Larian switched out it's writing team sometime between the ver.7 and ver.8 of Early Access, and that was also when they started the pronoun and ***** bs into the character creator as well. granted the game still had DEI in early access but it wasn't as bad as it was now.
Karlarch and Wyll had better first impressions/meetings, the "paladins of Tyr" segment was far better with them actually having a decent reason to fall and serve a demon. Tyr even helped out by sending you a vision if you were a paladin or cleric, letting you know the "paladins" were oathbreakers and liars.
Wyll was far more proactive and more of a heroic frontiersman type of character, wanting to set out and attack the goblin camp to protect the grove instead of being passive side character like the official version. There was even an interesting twist where the goblin by the windmill knew Wyll and implied that Wyll had dealings with the goblins before.
