Some of the NPC changes look really good. There just seems to be no rhyme or reason to the changes he made LOL. Almost wonder if this is a group project or something.
Feels like a cursed version of the aesthetics mod we are working on

it's not the aesthetics, I use that one mod where I can change the looks of the companions without any problems, it's more like Act 2 and 3 that ruin it for me.loregamer wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 16:11Hold off until our aesthetics mod. We are cooking @Finarfin

Agreed, the outfit should remain vanilla since it's the one thing that makes her look like a cleric, but the updated looks finally make Isobel not look so punchable. From her face shape to the unflattering dye job and hideous caked-on makeup, vanilla Isobel was an eyesore. The edit actually makes her look like a gentle, kind woman that I could actually see an angel falling in love with. Her personality still conflicts with that image, given how much of a lying **** she is, but other than thatFinarfin wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 16:02Meh, keep the looks but give her back her clothes.jebacdrkac wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 08:29Custom install for each npc would be nice, some of them indeed look better but then you just look at for example Isabel who now looks like random bandit or poor rugan who is now like one of them one direction *******

The only reason I won't (in Act 2 at least) is because I don't want all the people at the inn to die from the Shadow Curse. Pretty annoying of Larian to make so many lives hinge upon their insufferable OCs. I'm probably just going to wait until after the Shadow Curse is lifted to kill them (assuming I can indeed safely kill them at that point without everyone else dyingFinarfin wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 22:12She looked like she came back from some porn shoot, where they went too deep down her throat hence the runny makeup.Envergence wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 21:25Agreed, the outfit should remain vanilla since it's the one thing that makes her look like a cleric, but the updated looks finally make Isobel not look so punchable. I looked it up to see if Aylin was necessary to save Rolan from Lorroakan, which is the only aspect of the Lorroakan questline I actually care about, but it sounded like as long as Rolan's siblings were saved in Act 2 you could persuade him to join you against Lorroakan. However, I have no idea if you can even initiate confrontation against Lorroakan without Aylin, so if Aylin alive truly is necessary just for that, that's pretty annoying (and meta-gamey like many other things in the game are; "I'm keeping you alive for someone else's content"). I haven't gotten as far as Act 3 yet since I've been waiting for the devs to finish the game, so my knowledge is very limited to others' anecdotes.Finarfin wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 22:53I think after Act 2 Isobel is pretty much useless? My fella Scleritas be gaslighting hard when saying "cleric with the sweetest face" when casting Isobel's projection, my biggest "wtf" moment in the game. Disheveled short (eww) hair, eyebags, skin with pores bigger than craters and Pornhub "makeup". You got time to draw these atrocious Selune patterns on your face, but didn't care to fix your **** hair? Also, she looks extra **** without makeup, like a three times divorced overworked Mongolian immigrant. Yes, installing makeup remover was a mistake.Envergence wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 21:25Agreed, the outfit should remain vanilla since it's the one thing that makes her look like a cleric, but the updated looks finally make Isobel not look so punchable. Hijimare's version is too weeb because of the eye angle, plus should've left her original outfit. I'd really like de-Mongolian version of the mod.
Edit: not to get me wrong, I like Hijimare's work, from outfits to haircuts and new head morphs. I don't like Mongolian eyes that is. No weebs or Mongolians in Faerun.

You can theoretically kill Isobel but that will eventually result in a game over for you. Even if you somehow avoid getting killed by your own party (everyone in camp turns hostile if you attack Isobel and Aylin), Aylin has a special non-removable buff that keeps resurrecting her if she dies. Eventually she'll kill you and everyone else you used to attack her.Envergence wrote: β August 2nd, 2024, 22:40The only reason I won't (in Act 2 at least) is because I don't want all the people at the inn to die from the Shadow Curse. Yeah, they're using her ******** plot immortality to punish you if you try to get rid of the obnoxious girlbossing lesbian.
The only way (without mods) to get rid of Aylin is to either kill her with the Sharran spear (which the idiot devs hardwired to killing everyone in the Inn for no ******* reason) or selling her out to Lorroakan. Unfortunately that doesn't actually kill her, she's just stuck again and will probably be freed soon since the tower isn't under the protection of a literal god like Shar's realm was.
The only way to truly purge the obnoxious cancer of Aylin from existence is to bite the bullet and let Shadowheart stab her or overrule the dev's ******** by using mods.

That is incredibly disappointing yet unsurprising to hear. I'd love to hand Aylin over to Lorroakan, but I'd rather give Rolan's story a proper happy endβhe's my persnickety bro. Can't resort to Shart because I kill her in my games and have limits to how far I'm willing to metagame, lol. I'm assuming I can't at the very least prevent them from joining my camp? Looks like I'll have to use mods to deal with them, or just make them palatable enough but I'd still rather be rid of Larian's cringe OCs.SoLong wrote: β August 3rd, 2024, 11:26You can theoretically kill Isobel but that will eventually result in a game over for you. Do they really not shoehorn them into a sudden appearance later on? In similar games, even when you say no to the characters, make them appear out of nowhere with some excuse just so they can "save the day" in the finale or something.SoLong wrote: β August 4th, 2024, 15:41You can tell them to **** off after Ketheric's dead.
