Let me guess: A gaming-specific Substack newsletter in which the first few "editions" you release are free so you can build an "audience." After a month of that, you'll start begging subscribers to pay $6 a month, or $60 a year, to keep the newsletter going. When a single-digit percentage convert to paying readers, that won't be enough, you'll get ******, then throw everything behind a paywall. You'll continue raging on X, and when your tweets go viral, you'll plug your ****** newsletter -- "Love or hate my takes? Subscribe to my newsletter!" -- as a low-brow way to get subscribers.

This is a cry for attention. Would see it all the time with the Beauty Parlor hags at Kiwi Farms. All these women will say the most insane **** about men and at the same time post pics of rancid food they made to prove to the men how trad they are. Hell, one Beauty Parlor user I knew (who shall remain nameless out of respect to Rusty's anti-doxxing rule) would talk about how much she hated men but would slide into male Kiwi's DM's and post them pics of her tits with her begging them to tell her that she is thin and attractive. I have taken to calling this behavior the "Duality of Feminism". These women all hate men but at the same time crave the attention and validation that only a man can give them. Again, daddy issues.

The funniest thing is that Unknown 9 was supposed to be a multi-media spanning franchise that they hoped to expend beyond videogames, just like Concord was supposed to be.
Methinks that nothing is more narcissistic that believing that your success is somehow 100% guaranteed despite such belief being based on absolutely nothing. kek

It's amazing.
I thought they were bad actors deliberately making bad games because the message was the only thing of importance, and they're incompetent DEI hires.
But it turns out they're actually deranged woke religious zealots completely out of touch with reality.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

Why do you think that Trump winning the popular vote was so devastating to them? They are not the hip, cool, punk rebels anymore. Everybody ******* hates them and their ideology. Just wait for this years Game Awards. I have a feeling that it is going to be very somber with little to no Trump bashing as these fuckers now know that the world ******* hates them and everything that comes out of their mouths.

14,000 layoffs, lads. And still one more month to go.

I hope a bunch more gamedevs get fired right before Christmas.

Sam Hyde was right: we need these gamedevs and presstitutes stocking shelves. Their services are needed. The non-white ones will need to return to their shitholes.

How about Microsoft's internal gamedev studios dead pool? Try to guess which of these failing studios are going to get canned first.

- Machinegames. Their previous games (Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus and Wolfenstein Youngblood) all underperformed, and Indiana Jones game will likely flop (it looks high-budget enough but at the same time has almost zero hype).

- Obsidian. An incompetent studio that struggles with releasing even the small-scale AA-games like Avowed. Plus it soon may become a liability due to the recent hiring policy kerfuffle.

- Ninja Theory. Clowns who spent six years developing a four-hours long walking sim where you play as a woman with schizophrenia.

- Playground Games. They have a successful Forza series that will likely keep them afloat, but I expect layoffs after Fable flops.

- 343 industries. Bunch of clowns who spent ten years developing Halo Infinite (no one liked it). And instead of doing some restructuring/reorganizing or at least writing a post-mortem so they could better understand what went wrong, their execs just decided to rebrand into "Halo Studios". I don't see their next halo game succeeding.

- Arkane. MS already closed one of two Arkane divisions after their project flopped (which was greenlit back when they were under bethesda's control), and the leftover Arkane has only one game in the oven (some capeshit trash made under disney licence).

- Bethesda. Starfield was a massive disappointment - the game sold OK, but the fan reception was so bad it seems like no one have bought the dlc. If TES6 ends up being just as bad as Starfield, it would be pretty much over for BGS and Todd.

- The Coalition. Gears of War 5 killed off the likeable protagonist of the Gears of War 4 only to replace him with an ugly woman, naturally the game underperformed in sales. They, however, did some course-correction and announced a prequel game where we once again play as Marcus Fenix.

- Compulsion games. Their current game looks very similar to Banishers and Flintlock Siege of Dawn. Nuff said.

- inXile studios. Their current game looks like "Bioshock Infinite: BLM Edition".

- Undead Labs. State of Decay 3 was announced four years ago, and the only thing they have to show for it is a trailer with a screaming black woman.

- The Initiative (Perfect Dark studio). Another mismanaged AAA-focused team full of 'industry veterans', that spent six years ******* around, starting/cancelling/rebooting their project. Perfect Dark's main character looks like a female version of Robert Zdar.

****, that's crazy, have they considered making more games aimed at people who don't play games while attacking the people who do play games?

Microsoft has money then god and somehow fails at everyturn in their XBOX division. They can literally pick some rando gamer from the streets and they would have more business sense then any of these clowns running Xbox.

I don't think it counts as gamedevs getting fired but a number of video game VA's are currently striking because they don't want to be replaced with computer generated voices. I'm sure showing how much of a nuisance they are won't make companies want to replace them as fast as possible.

*****, you're sitting in a booth reading **** out loud for a living. You don't even have to be on set for it like actual actors do.
Also, how did the writers' strike work out for the writers? Like over half of writers are out of a job because of their ******** demands and the studios are just training their AIs on the backlog of scripts that they own. I'd advise to learn from their mistakes, but I know you won't.

This is the first I've heard of this strike. Is it specific companies that are currently turning away work or just random individual voice actors?

Bold move of them to go on strike when VA’s are one most replaceable aspects of game development.

I’m sure it’s going to work out for them.

Here. The strike involved Electronic Arts but what arguably drew more attention is that some games by Hoyoverse simply got updates without voice acting for some characters in the English version. Mostly because the Chinese release on time and don't give a **** about ******** western strikes.

Ironically that made a large number of fans angry at the VAs, which I'm all in favor of. May the only place they have left be reddit with the other leftist bottom feeders.

This is the first time I've read a game "journalist" article in years and, holy ****, was it an awful ******* read. Smarmy tone and huge quotes from this very article in the middle of the article:

I guess I shouldn't be surprised when the website is "gamesindustry.biz," which is the shadiest domain ever. This instantly makes it sound like you're pushing off-brand **** pills.
Game "journalists" deserve to get replaced with AI.

I like when voice actors put effort and emotions in their voice acting and prefer real human voiceover. Too bad voice actors don't care about fair wages, rights as workers and working conditions and care about lgtv more. Oh well, if they don't care about themselves, than I wouldn't either.

I want to know how much the guy posting this knows about AI voice synthesis, because he sure makes himself sound like an expert
His writing is awful, it's slow and painful to read, and his grammar is mostly wrong.
