Hey quick question. I installed the mod, started a new game and everything seems changed, Anevian is male etc, but Seelie remains unchanged, Know what i could be doing wrong?
Unfortunately without further information I'm not sure what the problem could be. When did you download the modules? There's a possibility you grabbed a deprecated version of the Seelie module if it was a while ago.
I installed them just yesterday. extracted everything to one file and ran the .bat and .ps1, did everything that it asked. I noticed that the undiversfied and the Seelie files do not have a .txt or the .zip, they come with just the modification file, whereas the others do have a .zip and .txt, maybe it has something to do with that?

EDIT: Turns out only my windows 11 has that problem, windows 10 downloaded the files with the .zip and .txt with no issue. With that I have no problems now. Weird.

Oh, thanks for taking the time to make these mods. I'm grateful.
I have the same problem :( Seelie and Undiversified modules look different for some reason, they only have Modifications folder in them. All other modules installed just fine. I also use windows 11

So Win11 is doing something funky with .zip files.
I'd suggest everyone download and use 7zip ( https://www.7-zip.org ) and set it as the default action for all associated files.
As usual, Microsoft's version of functions are ****.

You may as well not bother replying to my posts if it's to argue anything except concrete facts or your personal opinion. I still probably won't see it.

@Dunadan What software are you using to create the zip files?

Thanks! It works fine with 7zip. I had it installed but it didn't cross my mind to try :groan:

After double-checking, they're actually rar files. Win11 probably has an issue with rar files, not surprising as it is a proprietary format. Can you use zip instead, @Dunadan?

Dunadan, excellent mod and great Tolkien reference username.

A question/bug report from a fellow Elf-Friend...

I am getting an error from, I suspect, either the Undiversified mod or the Race and Gender distribution mod where NPCS will spawn with the completely incorrect model. For example, the tiger appears as a devil of some kind in this screenshot.
Image

I suspect this is caused by one of your mods because I'm not running any other mods that would cause this issue. Is this a known bug? Do you know if this is caused by something else?

Great work on these mods by the way. Highly enjoying replaying WOTR with them.
I actually reverted the mod to 1.6c a couple days ago due to unforeseen issues with WW_RaceGenderDist. Did you download and install that module when it was up? If so, I would suggest uninstalling it and reloading your game. Let me know if that resolves the issue you're seeing.
I needed to restart the game after uninstalling the mod (happily, only lost 2.5 hrs progress or so). The Race/Gender Dist mod seems to have disabled a lot of NPC spawns (all the mongrels in the prologue village were gone). Additionally, quest-essential NPCs who were not human male seem to have had their spawns disabled.

I'll be watching this mod with keen interest. The Race/Gender distribution was the thing I was actually most interested in for this mod... I don't mind a bit of diversity among named characters when the norm among background NPCs is grounded and believable, when you're dealing with a fantasy setting.

Yea, I'm really hoping I can figure it out but it is proving to be the most complicated module of all and my time is very limited in the summer....

Are you able to provide any specific examples of quest-essential NPCs that appeared to have their spawns disabled? That info would be very useful for future testing.

Hey, I appreciate the effort, but the stuff you provided is incomplete.

First off, the file appears to be only for the WW_Anevian module. I won't make any official mod updates unless I have a complete set of translated files for all the ones provided in the archive (WW_Anevian, WW_Seelie, WW_SosielTrever, and WW_NoAlphabets).

Furthermore, it doesn't appear that the translations are complete. For example, the last entry in the file you provided:

Code: Select all

        {
            "Key": "61f12b15-7048-4a00-937e-7aeff106a837",
            "Value": "« Merci encore de l'avoir sauvΓ©e, lors de la chute de KΓ©nabres. La seule chose qui m'a donnΓ© la force de protΓ©ger le CΕ“ur du dΓ©fenseur, c'Γ©tait l'espoir de la revoir. Nous vous sommes toutes les deux redevables.Β Β»"
        }
still reads as if Anevian is female (this entry is Irabeth speaking about Anevian). If my understanding of French is correct, in order to sound like it is referring to a male, the word sauvΓ©e needs to become sauvΓ©, and the phrase de la revoir needs to be de le revoir.

It's not enough to just take the file and replace all instances of 'Anevia' with 'Anevian'... this is what I meant when I said a lot more work is required. People fluent in the languages desired need to go through every entry to ensure that the translation matches the edited English file in content/intent, and that the translation is correct.

I've changed every line and adapted every context, so it's not just a change of first name. I've even transformed the despicable ***** story into a classic tale of illness requiring expensive care.

But you do point out an oversight on my part concerning the past participle agreement on this line.

I'm going to change all the other files. As far as Seelie is concerned, there's virtually nothing to change, which is also the case for the other mods, but I'll check.

My bad, after re-reading I see that I didn't send the final translated version...and I also see that I've lost most of my work...

I'll have to redo 75% of the translation, I understand better.

Found a pretty small one and don't know if this has been fixed already (maybe I just have an outdated install lol) but after Arsinoe comes to tell you about the A Dance Of Masks DLC when you show the coin to Anevian it says "Show her the coin" Image

Yes! Apologies for the late response....

1.) In the Mongrelman village and the Labyrinth, no Mongrelmen spawned at all. This broke the cut scene outside the dungeon and the cut scene with Savamalekh as well.
2.) In the Market Square, Curl did not spawn, breaking Seelie's quest with the Houndhearts
3.) After appearing in the cut scene with Ramien and going into the Temple of Desna, Ilkes did not appear in the temple, breaking "Starward Gaze."
4.) After being rescued from the Arendae party house (where most of the NPCs did not spawn), Aranka did not spawn in the Temple of Desna as well.

I uninstalled the mod per your advice at this point in the playthrough, so I have no further examples of broken instances or quests; however, I will note that several monsters in the Gray Garrison cutscene appeared as humans, and Staunton Vhane spawned as a giant fly (with the moveset of a giant fly but the status of Staunton Vhane). Additionally, Irabeth appeared human during the cutscene, and then became a gnome on the second floor of the dungeon.

I completely understand about time constraints limiting work on this- nobody is entitled to mod authors' work and what you have done already is outstanding and more than enough to justify a play through of the game. I'm surprised by how well the AI voices work.

Saw this mod a while ago, and i was hesitant because of the quality of the A.I. portraits replacers.
Got a look at it again for my new P:WotR playthrough and boy does the new art does the job!
Well done, i'm loving it so far, thank you for your hard work.

This is a brilliant mod, many thanks to the author. I don't think I will be able to go back to playing vanilla after getting used to this version of P:WOTR from a more civilized time. Is there any chance you'd be willing to work on Kingmaker and Rogue Trader in the future?

Thank you for this all. I wish the gender balance was still available. I have never finished playing this game because of just how extreme they got. Though I wish you didn't block all gay romance options for the protag. Rest of the alphabet can definitely do without. Gay romances between NPCs I can do without, but give me the protag a fella at least. Lol. Regardless Thank you again for this mod!

Actually I don't suppose you could do me a solid and make a gay Lann for me please? Really the best of the fellas. Though if you'd like to do me an even bigger favor make all of the companions male please. I want a band of brothers. Used to be a thing once upon a time. Far better times.

OK. I've been running into a problem with trying to get these mods installed. It's giving me the no mod archive found error. I've extracted the zips using 7-zip. Then tried running the files both with all files in one folder then with them in their own isolated folders, but still receive this error message. I am pointing to the directed folder the owlcat>pathfinder folder within the app data local low. Any help would be appreciated.

Alright, after loads of experimentation, diving into the code, and harassing Chat-gpt I figured out that the archives are expected to be in the Local Low folder for WotR when you run the script.

I think that particular mod would be more of the Nexus mod alley, seeing how there was a gay Tristian mod for Kingmaker. kek

I really wish I knew how to mod this myself, but sadly I must ask for aid in the ever unwokifying effort of this game. The lengths to which we must go to make this enjoyable (and good thing it's not a new game now or it'd be far worse). Alas my request is this. Could you possibly change the incorrect usage of "She/her" and "They/their" being used as the gender neutral singular pronouns? D&D went hardcore into this a long while back trying to replace every instance when one would normally use "he" as the gender neutral singular pronoun(standard in every gendered language) with "she" and increasingly "They," which is sadly an even more egregious afront to myself as a reader. If there is a means to do this outside of coding I'd be glad to help.

Character Creation and leveling this is seen all over the place. Too many instances to reference individually. Outside of that many of the transition screens, and some of the loading screens with little quotes on the bottom.
