Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3.
I paid for cyberpunk and dlc 40$ and deeply regret it. It was worth waiting for the updated version on the torrent tracker, even if it took over a month. Good parts of this game don't outweigh bad parts enough to pay for it.

Thankfully, I didn't repeat this mistake with Baldur's Gate 3.

It's also very fast-paced from what I can tell, I don't think ****** can actually make slow games.

Legend of Dragoon. The only game I ever ended up deliberately, irreparably damaging the physical media, so that I would never consider playing it again.

It took all the potentially degenerate aspects of JRPGs and turned them up to 11.

Abominably bad script and story. Zero-thought itemization and inventory management. Character advancement that consisted of the most unbelievably tedious QTE grinding possible, with the cherry on top being one of the main characters' combo grind being completely nullified about halfway through the game.

It also just looked bad. Art direction was ****, clunky PS1-era 3D character sprites. At least the Dragoon designs were pretty cool.

Special shout-out to the incredibly ******** decision to make one of the main characters' Dragoon spheres an entirely missable item, handicapping him for the entire game if you didn't happen to stumble across it (it was being sold in some market somewhere, if I recall correctly).

Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad.

Brink had so much potential but the devs fumbled hard. I got suckered in by that cool CG trailer and the art style. I was shocked they brought it to PC as free to play a few years back.

Pathfinder Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous.

Former was kinda alright, but I hate having the time limit looming over my head the entire time. The kingdom management part got in the way of the actual roleplaying. I realized going in that it very much wasn't DnD, but if I enjoy planning my character build more than actually playing the game, something went wrong.

Got Wrath on a steep discount, thinking I'd give it another try (had a few nice tabletop sessions and felt nostalgic). All of the mythic paths felt too railroading to me, the good ones were boring (save for perhaps the gold dragon, ironically) while the evil ones forced you to be a self-destructive jackass who only makes it through the game due to plot armor.
My review(s):
Wuthering Waves [Recommended]
Forever Skies [Not Recommended]

I feel Kingmaker was a try for an crpg that got left and WOTR was the final product, also i hate myself for finishing this game by doing the secret ending

Planescape: Tides of Numenera.

I got the most obscure achievements in the hopes that I will find *something* good in that game. Yes, I even got to be a Memovira. Nope. The game is trash. Every pixel is wasted.

The only "decent" part is the Inifere part, but I wouldn't recommend wading a sea of **** for something that doesn't give you a headache.

regret is a pointless feeling. every game you "regret" has contributed to making you the person you are today. you bought a game you didn't like? good. then learn from it. don't make that mistake again. learn from it. grow. better yourself. don't hate yourself.

My issue is I have an autistic need to collect things. I used to collect comics and action figure as a kid, but now it's filling in and extending my games catalog. But the whole push for DEI since 2014/GamerGate was a good signal to wind the hobby down and just reinforce being able to play stuff from the 80s to 00s. I don't latch onto new IPs outside of a few indies and old IPs all seem to go bad eventually so I can jump off them at some point.

Lucky I don't care so much about movies, books and TV.

I bought and refunded Dark Souls multiple times before something clicked in my most recent playthrough — years ago, at this point — and I enjoyed it enough to beat the trilogy.

Numanera is probably the greatest regret I have with games, I spent a lot of money on the kickstarter and the game sucks, particularly the supposedly best part: the writing. God, was I naive back then.
