It's a sequel to nightwatch, and I suspect I'm going to need a VM to play either. Not because of lunix, but because of it using some obscure russian DRM that doesn't work on modern PCs.

Star Trek: Judgment Rites is a pretty good adventure game. I remember the overall experience being much better than Star Trek: 25th Anniversary with puzzles that aren't too obfuscated.

Make sure you get your hands on the 'Movie & Sound Pack' if you're not using the CD-Rom version.

Play Daywatch

Hmm seems like a hassle. Play Sacred 2 then, you just need to get the community patch and you're good to go

I seem to be able to get Night Watch to maybe run, installing it atm.

wine with firejail, I'm not worried in the least.
But it did cause my desktop environment to kill itself, so… I guess I'll put that on hiatus.

Indeed it is.
β–Ί Star Trek: 25th Anniversary is also an interesting game but some of its solutions can be a bit more elusive...

As I intend to play any games on the list in chronological order, I picked the 25th Anniversary Edition. I finished the first chapter and it's pretty good so far. I had to restart a few times to finish the first space battle after reading up on the keys.

My only complaint with the first mission is I missed the hand that fell to the ground, and it's basically 1 pixel big. Having one of your crew members mention it after you wander around for a bit would have been helpful.

To any game backlog enthusiasts, I just found out Playnite (a highly customizable offline video game library I really like) has a HowLongToBeat extension which allows you to play your games in Playnite and have it automatically update your HLTB library with your current playtimes. No more manual fiddling, just playing my plays and the thing updates my list. Very cool! (#NotAnAd)

If you're a Steam enjoyer, Playnite also has a Steam extension that imports your library from there.
