Yes.
Basically the same coterie of terminally online people browsing that used to browse twitter to detect any kind of wrong think. I'm following a podcaster who talk about the books of past conservative figurehead, which are unfortunately pretty niche ( people like De tocqueville, Ortega y Gasset, Carl Scmitt, Sorel). The minutes he started getting a 5k view reach, he got deplatformed from patreon and tipee, for "hatred incitement".
He appealed on principle, as censoring someone talking about literature that was academically renowned and recognized should be utter nonsense, and receive the answers that his appeal would be rejected on the ground of " causing discomfort for vulnerable person".

Deplatforming and censorship certainly isn't limited to video games, a thousand people anywhere on any platform that aren't fanatical loyal to the cause are recognized by globhomo as an urgent threat, and action will be taken against you.

I got a reply from them and they want a bunch of personal information just to explain why the account was removed. Genuinely thought it was a scam because of how it's conducted, double-checked the email headers.

Some googling verifies that yes, this is actually how they handle support — just google "patreon.zendesk.com"(their support reply email, which yes, is theirs) to see a bunch of other people completely confused why they operate like a scammer.

And to reiterate, it's not a phishing scam, the headers are valid and it came from patreon's origin.
…But my account is still up? What a silly company.

Patreon is garbage. Has been for a while. Didn't they ban a bunch of Trump supporters Patreons after J6? My guess is that forums that have (((certain threads))) are being deplatformed because of the Israel-Hamas War. I used to work as a CS agent that used Zendesk, so I can confirm that my work was pretty much to find the kindest and most polite way of telling the customers to shove their complaints up their ***. kek
