The plurality hated it, yes. But the majority liked it, they're just divided on how much they liked it.
I would not call a "C" grade a "liked it". That's a grade of "meh". That means only a third can really be considered to have LIKED it.

In a market segment where a 7/10 game is considered complete trash.

Do you really consider a 2.0 GPA to be average?
4.0 is the top, so yes?

noun: average; plural noun: averages

1.
a number expressing the central or typical value in a set of data, in particular the mode, median, or (most commonly) the mean, which is calculated by dividing the sum of the values in the set by their number.

Not in this context Roguey, C is average in school, where you also have more letters to represent the various grades. When you only use A-B-C-D you're using a covert Likert scale, those should read: Strongly apreciated, apreciated, disliked, hated or something like that.

"D or below" the F is implicit. Either doesn't actually want to see how many people want to rate his show F or considers a D just as bad as an F.

Roguey operates on a stable (if obscure, for those not in the known) set of rules and he's been fairly consistent with his presented worldview for as long as I've been reading him, which is quite a long time by now. I know his peculiarities caused him to become unsufferable to some and I understand that. Personally no, I don't consider him a ******, I apreciate his presence.

Adding 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 gives you an average of 1, but that is daft. What we need here is the median and that is 2.

For anyone who aspires to succeed, C is a failure. Which I guess would explain our society today, a bunch of underachievers that view "getting by" as meaningful.

It's also not how medians work. If you have a set {1, 1, 1, 1}, then the average and median are both 1. If you have a set {i_1,i_2, ..., i_n}, with i_k in [0,4] for 1<=k<=n, then the average and median could both be anywhere between 0 and 4.

Turns out the problem with Summer Game Fest is that it didn't have enough slop (because the biggest publishers all have their own directs now, leaving well-funded crumbs for Geoff).
