The custom gamepad profiles on steam suck ***. Maybe there's a chance these will be decent?

THQ Nordic's Showcase is back! Our Digital Showcase 2024 will be full of world premiere announcements, updates for previously-announced games and might even hold some surprises! Mark your calendar as the Digital Showcase 2024 goes live on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM PDT / 3 PM EDT / 8 PM BST / 9 PM CEST / 10 PM MSK. Our friends from HandyGames will kick things off with a pre-show once again, so tune in early and don't miss out on the fun!

We don't want to spoil too much, though, THQ Nordic will serve news for Gothic 1 Remake, Titan Quest II, and much more, but we'll keep the grim secrets to ourselves for now. Stay tuned!
I'm looking forward to Titan Quest 2, hopefully it ain't going to be woke ****.

I've attempted to play this game several times, but it's always filtered me at some point. Especially once you meet the rock giants or whatever the **** they are.

Don't even get me started on Gothic II, which comes with that stupid DLC that makes the base game even harder that you have to "mod out" nowadays...

Then this remake will be for you. You can probably genocide everything from level 1 on.

That whole thing sounds very scripted as if they read the english from something. Will have to wait for gameplay trailers and lets plays again.

Our only hope now is that OpenGothic eventually covers the first game and makes it easier to make new content.

Wouldn't mind an OpenRisen either.

A bit of advice if you ever get back in to it. If you find yourself coming up against a wall of difficulty, try somewhere else. These games are excellent at this. The world is meant to be explored and traversed. Look for secrets, find weaker enemies, purchase items that will help you. This ain't like Dork Souls, you have to use everything you got. (If you don't cheese encounters).

I think there's some lore around somewhere that tells you how you can kill them easier (with axe I believe?), or use scrolls to help you out. Or you can run past most if not all of them. It's Gothic, try everything and get that dopamine hit when it works))

Gothic's design was incredibly refreshing, and I didn't play it anywhere near release. Games that encourage you to β€” for lack of a better term β€” 'exploit' are some of the best. It expects you to use every tool available at your disposal and be as creative as possible.

I played it on release, and it was glorious. Buggy as hell, I got softlocked early in the old camp, but it was special and even back then I knew it.

Legit curious to see in what state that is. Probably somewhere between Stalker 2 and bloodlines 2 level.

If they get the og voice actors from the german version back (those that live that is) and make the combat the same but a bit more modern along with keeping the rough tone of the original it might just be good.

There is no way they are even trying to copy that combat. Absolutely no way, it will be closer to Twitcher than Gothic

Rusty is just messing with us. I know that the game first came out in german only in 2001 and then 2006 there was a demo with english dub included in Gothic 3.
Here's Brave's AI using multiple sources to back it up.
