Right, he made the mistake of trying to appease you specifically. And you got angry at him for it.

This alleged attempt to appease me was obviously never going to have that outcome and actually ruins multiple contingencies I had for Redemption losing btw

I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

You constantly switched your vote anytime one side was winning so they would remain balanced
…and?
that was an option available to anyone
Technically false.

Looks like a legit account, let's count her vote. So what if people are allowed to vote multiple times Edit: (at the same time, what's done is done):

Democracy has failed....again. Since we can't trust online profiles to post accurate IQ tests I propose in the future only allow votes to those who complete the games on the hardest difficulty

Why would anyone fake an IQ test result?

@fkirenicus if you want to get back at Vergil for all his bullying then vote for Deus Ex.
count one more for Deus Ex.
(I seem to be ineligeble to vote - should perhaps migrate to the US without any kind of ID and be allowed to vote by the DNC?)

Is Deus Ex GOTY playable without having to patch it or are there game breaking bugs?

I'm playing the Steam version because it's already in my library.

Also, isn't it more likely to work on a 20 year old piece of **** PC?

I mean, the game is over 20 years old, so that isn't really helpful information.

For those of you intending to play Deus Ex, but have played before and are looking for an enhancement I highly recommend GMDX RSD

RoSoDude's fork of Totalitarian (Aka Ash)'s mod is by far the best way play the game. There's way too many fixes and balances to list here, but I don't play without it now.

Just had to choose a compatible renderer.

To clarify, this solved the initial problem of it crashing at launch. Not the no audio/text issue. I think that was caused by the community patch which I stopped using.

I got my steam Deus Ex to work in fullscreen, but the models have janky clipping visual bugs atm.

For anyone going to play Redemption, mousing over the quests in the log gives extra clues as to how to proceed. Sometimes the game makes no mention of where to go and can be confusing.

If you're on the part where you need a goblet of blood to get past the gate, don't go to back to prince Brandl. Go straight to the university. The person you're looking for will spawn there when you enter it.

I just installed Bloodlines so I will hold off on Redemption.

Any mods suggested for first Deus Ex playthrough?

Can we do a vote on no confidence in oyster so someone like loregamer who doesn't suck can be in charge of these threads going forward? At least he'll make them look nice.
I probably would’ve done the same thing as Oyster tbh
