Are there any examples of sequels that made more than one ending in the prior game the canon ending?
Besides the obvious example of Daggerfall making all the endings sorta canon, ofc.

Fear & Hunger 2 had to do a balancing act with the first game's endings. It was interesting to see how it was handled. It did the whole "they all happened, but only specific parts of them." thing, and it kinda makes sense because it leaves some details vague.

Yes, Invisible War had some kind of hack in which all three endings of DE1 occurred together, as consequences of one another. Tangential but for all of its flaws I think the Invisible War writing was much closer to the core of Deus Ex than Human Revolution's ever was.

Fallout 3 is ok and Fallout 4 is mediocre( leaning towards bad) but what it does that’s not complete **** saves it from being an an utter trash fire.

Trails in the Sky remake announced



Too cartoony and oversaturated. Sameface. Looks too much like a modern plastic anime. Don't know why they didn't try to emulate the aesthetic of the original with the more gritty textures and the more varied faces, as well as the color palette.

I wonder if this is a complete remake of FC+SC or just FC.

Hopefully it isn't being lolcowlized by Californians (it's gonna be Californians).

Personally just sick of every Japanese game trying to be a Visual Novel and wall off the audience from driectly participating in their fictional world. If I wanted to watch OTHER people talk in a interactive medium, I'd just lurk online.

Gamedev is hard, but it takes less effort to make fun moment to moment gameplay and not alienate your audience than to write and script 100+ hours of fluff dialogue that could just be written by an AI in seconds.
