Trails in the Sky remake announced

Too cartoony and oversaturated. Sameface. Looks too much like a modern plastic anime. Don't know why they didn't try to emulate the aesthetic of the original with the more gritty textures and the more varied faces, as well as the color palette.

I wonder if this is a complete remake of FC+SC or just FC.

Hopefully it isn't being lolcowlized by Californians (it's gonna be Californians).

I am curious as to how Falcom can be making this AND Kai AND Tokyo Xanadu 2 AND the next Ys game? Did they open another studio or are they outsourcing it?

Disco Elysium is a kind of ***** RPG if you think about it, a superficial imitation of the real thing without any of its underlying substance. We must take a stand against the threat of transgenreism.

I hope they add a harder difficulty and/or change up the battle system somehow. The only fight I remember taking a lot of effort was the one at the end of FC in which winning wasn't even required.

The definition of roguelike in the minds of normies has already been totally gutted by this same phenomenon.

It's basically the computer form of modern tabletop roleplaying — theater kids doing improv.

Which, of course, isn't roleplaying at all. I call systems designed around this idea 'storygames' because they are only superficially related to the subtactical-scale wargames roleplaying games of yore.

Funny how a ***** studio consisting of 30 people can make the in-game models look like their IRL counterparts, but one of the biggest publishers in the industry can't do it for a single character (who also happens to be the protagonist).

I'm certain we have heard it plenty of times before here and in other places, but it's most likely just a demoralization tactic made in order to "condition" people to feel attracted at horrid creatures. lol

From what I have seen they are objective aesthetic downgrades from the originals, no reason to play them over the originals.

Are there any examples of sequels that made more than one ending in the prior game the canon ending?
Besides the obvious example of Daggerfall making all the endings sorta canon, ofc.

Invisible War and Human Revolution, I think.

Rightfully deserved to be mock but I’m a sucker for decent to above average story games. It’s not like we get anything near peak writing like Planscape:Torment or Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines anymore so gotta make due for what’s available.

Love the **** out of Invisible War, not so much with Human Revolution even though I vastly enjoy the combat in HR.

Never really understood the appeal of fallout 76 when Bethesda essentially removed most elements that made fallout 3 and 4 tolerable.

Fate/Stay Night: Hollow Atraxia. All three routes in the prior game happened, though everyone is inexplicably still alive.

It is extremely funny to me how an ethnostate that is more often than not calling eurasians "white monkeys" (while just generally hating negroes) has evolved to a point where their demographic tries to emulate the look of said white monkeys via surgeries, beauty products and filters.
I sense some mighty inferiority complex, although I can see where they're coming from, since most of them look increasingly better, the more they close the gap to the white monkeys.
It'd be sad if it wasn't so funny.
Not feeling this brave new world. Might check out later.
