I don't think I've ever seen makeup used in video games to hide ugliness before, just completely copying real life now

If you guys can tell me how to vanilla revert Isobel/give Nere his normal hairstyle back, I'd do it for myself, as those are my only personal nitpicks I've seen.
I've given the general way to override NPCs over RR on the FAQs on main post. And You can find how to find and edit NPCs on my tutorials in Foundry section.Reichspepe wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 19:06If you guys can tell me how to vanilla revert Isobel/give Nere his normal hairstyle back, I'd do it for myself, as those are my only personal nitpicks I've seen.

I thought ponytail looked cute and it was there to keep some hair away from the front.
NPC Restore Isobel (No ponytail) ?
Also, while I understand that there are going to be different opinions regarding aesthetic choices, I just have to remind everyone that a mod like this CANNOT please everyone, especially when it comes down to visual changes. I think @orinEsque will agree with me that we can and will make some changes or modular entries for notable NPCs like Mystra or Isobel or Nere and it's fair to talk about it, but we definitely aren't trying to cater to every single little nitpick possible.

Do NOT let modders bully you into fixing their mods. Do NOT give modders any positive attention.
Modders exist to improve the game you're playing and for no other reason.

Ditto. It's not an issue cosmetically, it's just not practical since she obviously has tons of hair next to her face, what is she tying there? Did she fall alseep with a hairtie in her hair and never took it out? Not a big deal though.xonmyhand wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 19:02I also agree with removal of ponytail. I haven't noticed it until now![]()
This is correct, but the simple solution is - the mod should be designed to please me. I actually don't care if anyone else is happy or not.Silver wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 19:09I just have to remind everyone that a mod like this CANNOT please everyone

It's not a label issue, it was a reminder for myself to insert Kagha screenshots, but taking pictures of everyone was more overwhelming than I thought and we wanted to release mod already. So a lot, and I mean A LOT, of screenshot comparisons are missing as of right now. I'll keep slowly adding to the Showcase. But covering bugs comes first.Finarfin wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 12:08
Might be mislabeled or a misuse of the comparison picture.

Looks really good, does this also work with an older version like the one when honor mode came out? Or just the newest? Or else I will probably have to download over 100gb again.

it will work properly for patch 7 and 8. I haven't tested before that, I would suggest just installing it and testing. won't hurt your save.Vaako wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 20:19Looks really good, does this also work with an older version like the one when honor mode came out? Really like the change of the Dragonborn wench into a proper wench, also like the crowd changes and the option to have Drow be obsidian colored that will be in the future (if I understood correctly), but with the changes I see with the skins (the Duergar for example being lighter that I am seeing according to the map thing, Svirfneblin's colors especially being very changed, etc), what with the ponytail for Isobel, making characters older, the elves looking far too manly in many of the faces that I am seeing compared to a more "alien" or ethereal sort of look (which reminds me of the vanilla "human with elf ears" heads instead of elves, at least from the screenshots. Cazador too looks like some woman romance thing rather than a proper villain) and other similar strange changes, it truly feels like one of those many mods I have met where I will have to nitpick and edit it so much that I will just stop half-way and end up not feeling it worth the trouble to micro manage to play a game that has already slapped me in the face for loving it once. Just sharing my two cents, I also like that you guys seem to truly had a lot of fun making this (the art in the front I had to do a double take as I forgot AI can do these things and recognized it only due to loregamer before realizing there was text XD I also read every little word that I could
), and there is much to build upon for anyone that might have, instead, the patience to scour now both Larian's and the modded changes (though I do believe, in this mod's case, it will be far easier as you communicate here with others about the changes, that I can see at least, compared to what, instead, happens on Nexus with mods like the "Unofficial Skyrim Patch", where it, as an example your mod reminded me of, changes NPCs like Linly Star-Sung who had her hair made black by the mod instead of keeping it as it should be).

Havent touched the game in since my last playthrough when honor mode came out.orinEsque wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 20:22it will work properly for patch 7 and 8. What if the modmanager doesnt show the mods? I copied the pak files into the folder with the others and refreshed the mod manager but I only see namechanges and dynmaic crowd mods? Maybe my game version too old?

Some bugs that we'll be fixing:
Sarevok's edited Head isn't showing in the mod or the screenshot.
The brothel loiterer's voice isn't working.
Those will be fixed soon.

While I liked the Dark Urge being an insane, albino Dragonborn (and this is still "canon" based on the short story/web browser game published prior to Baldur's Gate 3's release), I'm in total agreement that it probably scared people off who didn't know what the Dark Urge was.
Is his corpse in the Bhaal Temple also changed to a human?

Hmmm. For a larger "Realms Restored" mod pack, it would be best to keep the focus on that title / premise and only make changes (especially to prominent characters, as people will always scrutinise those) if they specifically support that, "restoring the realms".Silver wrote: β April 21st, 2025, 19:09I thought ponytail looked cute and it was there to keep some hair away from the front.![]()

"Looks cute" doesn't really match that reasoning lol. There will always be a gazillion people who prefer different (though may all begrudingly agree to a lore-based change). Also remember majority of players will be men who will have non-femenine tastes.
"Cute" / purely personal preference changes would be best kept to standalone override options, with only the core (non-***** etc.) changes included in the pack by default. That will please the majority as best possible and keep criticisms to a minimum to allow more focus ok bug fixing, while still allowing those who like them, to use the suggested personal changes.
Just a comment based on what most will expect when they see the mod title, rather than a "Modder's cool edits" mod (which would obviously be personal preference).
Herculean effort otherwise though. Good work all.

BUG REPORT:
I know you ran a script to find all the racist characters and buff their Intelligence attribute to match, but you gave this guy too much Intelligence, now his head doesn't fit in his circlet

@BobT
I thought it was obvious that "buh it's cute" was used in a more lighthearted manner than ACTUAL reasoning for every single little thing I did in the mod.
Appreciate you dissecting me for that though.
