And don't forget, some can still make a statement by voting for the only true dragon age:

viewtopic.php?t=2985-junior-adventurer- ... -poll-open
Is DAO worth it? I've never really given it a chance due to the reputation garnered by the rest of the series...
DAO is unironically the best Dragon Age writing wise, even if the graphics aged relatively poorly. It doesn't suffer from the millenial quippy writing that started in DA2, it doesn't have a dialogue wheel so you can actually see what you're going to say, you can actually be evil if you want to be...

It lacks so many of the flaws of later games. Even the obnoxious woke pandering Bioware is now known for is barely existent, it basically only comes up if you actively pursue it yourself. And for that you only have a single option who might die before you even recruit him (because back then characters still had their own preferences instead of being "player-sexual").

About two hours and twenty minutes in, it has hit 50,000 concurrent players.

Let's see if it can keep up.

can't tell if people are serious when they think these are good numbers

no, 50k concurrent players is not good for a AAA game in development for almost a decade

Obviously 50,000 isn't good. But does it have any chance of hitting 100,000 now?

As Rusty says, wait for the Normgroids to get home and lap up their slop (no doubt on Console)

Don't you hate this happens? Like, pal, I just want to download the game. I'm not interested in seeding it. Why's my upload speed 4 times faster than my download speed?

You can control your rates in settings and limit as much as you like (even turn off seeding).

Yeah, I tried that. The download speed drops to ~140 Kbps. It's a thing a lot of trackers do to prevent this exact thing.

Might be a sweet spot, depends on the tracker. I would lower the ratio until you see it drop.

From last year's best selling games on Steam - Starfield's peak was 330,000, Armored Core VI's was 156,000, Jedi Survivor was 67,000, Remnant II's was 110,000, Sons of the Forest was 414,000, Payday 3's was 77,000 FC24's was 107,000, Street Fighter 6's was 70,000, Hogwarts Legacy's was 879,000, BG3's was 875,343, Cities Skyline II's was 104,000, Resident Evil 4's was 168,000. Rule of thumb for total sales is to multiply those numbers by 10 after the peak on Sunday.

I'm going to be generous, 100k at most. It will do okay with unaware normies at first but once bad word of mouth hits I expect a drop by the weekend.

But products of your culture says otherwise! Judging by movies, cartoons and news of this period, you westoids bullied random people to death with no big reason, just for fun. Tabletop nerds, videogame nerds, book nerds weren't left alone, they were bullied, sometimes till suicide.
Yeah bro this never happened. Ask literally anyone around the country who went to a white school and you'll hear: "luckily we never had any of that at my school (so everywhere else must have been REALLY bad)". Nobody connects the dots and realizes that all it is is inner-city **** who got bullied by niglets rewriting their resentment to a palatable 'blame well-off whites' for mass media consumption.
I went to two high schools (one had over a thousand kids, one twice that number) and in my school district (which was at least 95% middle class white) there were 12 high schools and not once did I hear of any males and suicide. Even among the girls it was super rare.
This was something you only heard of in "after school specials" doing liberal hand-wringing, because it rarely happened in real life.
And, yes, there was bullying. Plenty of it.

It was never going to be a concord-tier disaster. These are very low numbers for a highly anticipated high budget title.

Feel like people are really underestimating how big the budget is for these games that were in development long enough for someone to get a phd.

Not to mention, the bullying was a good thing, at least for the long-term growth of those being bullied.

1) It makes the in-group stronger. It helps the people in the hobby know where the boundaries are, and look for ways of finding new people who are actually interested in the hobby as it is, and not those who want to change it. It helps keep whatever the hobby is well-defined.

2) It keeps unwanted people out of the in-group. Once a niche hobby becomes mainstream, the trend is to make changes to appeal to the new "normies" by watering things down. Somehow the new people always become the spokesmen for the hobby and the grognards are pushed away.

There's a popular image that's floated around for a while, I think about MtG, that describes how a hobby gets taken over by outsiders once it's allowed to become mainstream. This doesn't just apply to gaming or other "nerd" hobbies, by the way.

Exactly. For all practical means, this is a disaster for them. They are going to lose their *** here. Anyone proclaiming this a victory, or even a draw isn't looking at the numbers to any real practical means. This is very bad for them and anyone who has to "pay the bills" concerning this is definitely not happy about its performance.

Easy points for the divershitty bingo. You only need to design a single new skin, which is generally the easiest part of character design.

Yep, the "outsiders" screw everything up. Seen it from gaming, to hunting and fishing. Anytime the "mainstream" crowd gets involved, they destroy the core because they are ignorant, have no real respect for the hobby, and demand changes that are often contrary to the hobby itself.
