Yea I think expanding on the hirelings would be very cool. A lot of room to play around with that. Kind of crazy they didn't allow you to customize them from the start considering they just made them husks anyway.
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

I am also surprised that the Hirelings were preset characters. Seems like a weird choice.

But it's something I can work with.

So did you miss moonrise? Not trying to be rude, genuinely curious as I really love the mod.

I'm not a lore expert so I'm not sure if black halflings and dwarves are accurate or not.
I did say the changes wouldn't be universal.
You said a few lore-accurate descendants would remain but I don't think black dwarves and halflings are lore accurate.

Its not a big deal but you should specify that certain areas are uncovered and that there are still lore inaccuracies. Great work nonetheless.

Yeah, I was surprised to see Moonrise unaltered. I assumed the mod changed all areas while keeping a few LORE-ACCURATE non-whites around, instead of ignoring black dwarves and halflings in that area(s?).

Currently hoping Bob and I can get the voices off the ground and start replacing more of the female Flaming Fist characters around the city who are not canon (by this I mean female Flaming Fists who do not already appear elsewhere in the source material like Liara Portyr, the Commander of the Flaming Fists).

Another "Gimme" Mod idea that I am surprised does not exist yet is a mod to give voice lines to the Hireling characters.

That's twelve characters ripe for the plucking (only some of which don't look terrible, but that's also fixable). I'm especially intrigued by the Half-Orc Paladin. Make him Oath of Vengeance - have the target of his vengeance be Orcs. And he's an orphan. The story writes itself!
Thanks for defeminizing the Flaming Fist. I found it absurd how many female recruits they hold. They are almost like Adepta Sororitas in some cases. First I thought you changed the dead Fist in the raided inn scene from female to male and managed to make the weeping girl say him instead of her, but then I rechecked and she actually said him while the model lay on the ground looked like a girl...

Mod idea: Is it possible for NPC's to notice you play as a male or a female, strong or weak body type, and et some of the check some modifier according to that?

Wonder if it's possible to put the hirelings in places where you can meet with them instead of buying them from the dead guy like a pair of socks.

Just about every Flaming Fist officer (the Gauntlets) is a woman. Ideally, in future, almost all Flaming Fist officers will be women and have new voices. Depends on the ease of getting a variety of AI voices and implementing them in the mod.

What would be the point of NPCs reacting to your body-type? Hardly any of them react to your race! Unless you’re a Drow/Duergad.

Is there a reason why? Not up to date with every lore piece but when we played around them they were an active military group of lawful good side, served mainly as medieval police/city guards and while they had female soldiers they were mostly males (so that few females looked even cooler as fighters than in one where this is not a unique choice but the most common one for some reason). For me, that's why it was strange to see so many of the soldiers were female.

Exactly that's the point. Getting some function of the body-type to achieve certain feats easier and others worse. Like threatening someone to crack its skull is easier for the big bulky ones than for a halfing bard no matter how well its charisma checks. I think it might even be possible to make as these values look targetable.

So he left only Moonrise towers, hive of scum and villainy, as the only diverse place in the game? Based, dare I say?

@rusty_shackleford you'll need a new gimmick for your FBI data collection project. Nexus have bent a knee for lore accurate mods.

Doubt it, this is the third or fourth time it has been put back after being removed.

Nope. Same old version. Just different mods deciding it needed to be banned and then changing their minds.

I would like to add voices and change portraits, but that involves a demoralizing process of dicking around with the code until something works! :headbang:

Bob has helped me figure out a way to start changing the voice lines - as we've been able to nail down how to find specific voice lines, how to convert .wav files to .wem files and vice-versa. But now I need to familiarize myself with ElevenLabs to start creating voices of my own. On that front, I don't know if ElevenLabs has anything against me using their premade voices or if I need to train a model of my own.

I see your mod is back to nexus with no mention of removing blacks. Did nexus force you to change this part? I don't want any blacks in my game, or at the very least as few as possible, is it still safe to download your mod from nexus, or will the changes be reverted and I'll see half population being melanin-enriched again? If yes, then is the version here the most non-woke one?

No, the versions here and on Nexus are identical.

I've noticed that His Majesty, the cat in last night inn, is just a floating head now. They changed the way he looks in the latest patch, maybe that has something to do with it?

Larian recently updated their .lsf files to version 7. I cannot work with any of the Patch 3 files until LSLib is updated to work with version 7 of .lsf.

Unsure if this will work as it seems to just accept version 7, rather than dealing with any potential changes.

Seeing as the only reported bug thus far is a singular cat who becomes a floating head, I'm content to wait a few days for an "official" update to LSLib.
