I am still looking for help with that. I would also like to increase the variety of Player voices, as they are currently just pitch-shifted versions of the same voice (but that's obviously a longer project).

Have you looked into using something like xVASynth / xVATrainer?

It's not specific to skyrim despite the URLs btw.

I'm not entirely sure of how it works, I'm just aware it exists.

I bet they fear the competition now that they know there are other sites out there willing to host verboten mods.

I still intend to direct people here going forward, simply because I know it won’t be deleted.

Going to try messing around with the two AI voice websites people provided to me and see how to extract/play BG3 sound files this weekend.

I've used 11labs with success, for human and british voices.

ElevenLabs was really good when I messed around with it, but there was no way to direct the voice to give emphasis or specific emotions. I don't know if they fixed that yet, but it's pretty much unusable for this kind of stuff until it has that.

It's interesting seeing @SniperChris being accused of being other people in the nexus comments as an attempt to slander him.
Even by libtard sensibilities, this mod is not offensive. It just makes the game look consistent with BG1 & 2 β€” AD&D 2E's interpretation of FaerΓ»n. The fact that this happens to overlap with removing the multiculturalization of the setting is not his fault.

5E Forgotten Realms is ridiculous. Dwarfs without beards, urban svirfneblin, orcs with pink hair, and so forth. And this is barely even scratching what is in the actual sourcebooks. I absolutely detest the setting and I'm glad this mod exists as I plan on using it when I play through the game again, because the game is fun and it pains me that the setting is such a slog.

Here's a challenge to designers & devs:
Stop making every European-inspired fantasy location into a multicultural slop. I like mashed potatoes. I also like orange juice. I don't like mashed potatoes mixed with orange juice, they are best enjoyed separately.
How about making a D&D Forgotten Realms game set in Chult? How about you stop turning every race into 'exactly-like-human-but-quirky' because you attach real world issues to fantasy species?

This mod is popular for a reason. Thanks, @SniperChris, let me know if you have any issues or suggestions on how to improve the forum/Vault to attract more quality mods like this.

The best things to come out of that whole thing were the Patrick Bateman the /tv/ Poster and Agent 47 Assassinating George Floyd copypastas (is that an accurate term?).
It was hilarious how the AI was instantly used to make celebs say funny/racist/sexual stuff.

But, on the topic of emotions and such, there is a modder who used RVC to get some impressive results. Here's a YouTube demonstration.

That is untrue. They are clearly different voice actors.
But more variety would be nice, indeed.

You'd think on how obsessed they are with diversity nowadays the voice actors would be something more than just british guy 1 2 and 3. I would love to see something like a french accent, russian accent, orc/gnome sounding people etc.

Or they just overlooked it because as I'm checking it out on nexus right now SniperChris didn't mention the Chult changes lol

I saw that there's a new version on Nexusmods, but it also has only half the size. What is the difference between that version and the one here?

To be fair, Voice 6 is the most stereotypically annoying modern black woman voice possible. You can hear the shaved sides curly afro just from listening to her talk.
Voice 1 sounds like a twink, Voice 3 is definitely one of those English black guys, Voice 5 is a tired old Bri'ish man, and Voice 7 is giving me Hawke from Dragon Age 2 vibes.

Also, their diversity literally means "no Whites." To them Black Panther is the most diverse movie of all time, despite the fact that they took a bunch of black actors from all over the world and made them citizens of an ultra-isolationist ethnostate. It's literally the same as gathering a crown of Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Malaysians, etc. and saying they're all countrymen.
Goddamn, if I can tell different kinds of Orientals and Africans apart, why can't the diversity crowd do the same?

I believe SniperChris accidentally copied the same file twice in the older versions. There's a more detailed explanation of it somewhere in this thread.

@Reichspepe and @logincrash, I've also updated the link in the OP here to be the same file from Nexus. You are correct that the file originally had the loc files saved twice.

Are you sure your mod covers the whole game? Moonrise Towers still has a disproportionate amount of black humans, dwarves, halfings, etc walking about

So did you miss moonrise? Not trying to be rude, genuinely curious as I really love the mod.

I'm not a lore expert so I'm not sure if black halflings and dwarves are accurate or not.

Seems it triggered a lot of halfwits so I guess they mob to report it all day and night... I preferred on Nexus as it was easier to follow the updates but I am glad it is accessible and you haven't given up on it :).

I don't think that's really the way. Don't get me wrong. Here it's a classic forum structure for exchanging ideas as it seems that's the site's main profile while Nexus is more like a mod database where you also can comment and nobody really cares :D. There you are mainly on a mod where you can go through the installation process, available formats, dependencies, versions, bug reports and if there was an update you can see what was the last version you downloaded...etc everything linked together and maybe you check the comments but mostly there is nothing useful.

You said a few lore-accurate descendants would remain but I don't think black dwarves and halflings are lore accurate.

Its not a big deal but you should specify that certain areas are uncovered and that there are still lore inaccuracies. Great work nonetheless.

Currently hoping Bob and I can get the voices off the ground and start replacing more of the female Flaming Fist characters around the city who are not canon (by this I mean female Flaming Fists who do not already appear elsewhere in the source material like Liara Portyr, the Commander of the Flaming Fists).

Another "Gimme" Mod idea that I am surprised does not exist yet is a mod to give voice lines to the Hireling characters.

That's twelve characters ripe for the plucking (only some of which don't look terrible, but that's also fixable). I'm especially intrigued by the Half-Orc Paladin. Make him Oath of Vengeance - have the target of his vengeance be Orcs. And he's an orphan. The story writes itself!
