I guess I should've been more specific. I wasn't talking about the 3D renders of the backgrounds, but about the character art.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ June 12th, 2024, 12:11strong disagree, the environment art is some of the best that exists in any game ever made

Very meh..and I actually finished it. There is a bit of nice exploration, but the rest is peak amateur hour. Maybe it's in a better state now, I played it right at release.

It's been expanded greatly.
The developer is a decent guy working solo, so take it in as such.
It did well enough that he's starting over making improved Gedonia 2.

The combat is easy and boring when I tried it on release.
Trash mobs are literally zero threat, bosses are easy.

Quite good imo. Building is unique since it's voxels, you can build exactly what you want, meaning you can place single blocks or delete parts of walls if they are too long. Gameplay is standard survival crafting, but the world is very interactable. You can even build a dwarven fortress underground if you like. (Building is the biggest part of the game and makes it quite stand out.)
My Reviews:
El Matador RECOMMENDED
Dungeons of Sundaria NOT RECOMMENDED
VLADiK BRUTAL RECOMMENDED
Ultimate Zombie Defense 2 INFORMATIONAL
Deathless: The Hero Quest RECOMMENDED
Door Kickers 2 RECOMMENDED
Folklands INFORMATIONAL

I didn't know that, but that's indeed good news. I would still take a good look at gedonia 2 even though I really wasn't a fan of the first one

This appears to be a sequel to Gates of Skeldal, that has an English version.

How is The Last Spell? It looks interesting, but if it's a puzzle game disguised as a tactics game, I won't like it. For reference, I don't like Into The Breach.

The reviews I've read seem to be pretty positive about the gameplay itself. However I've also read a few posts about people who say their CPU runs at an abnormally high temperature while playing The Last Spell so if that is a concern be aware of it.
I'm not sure if it is a Unity engine problem, an unlocked frame rate or what. I've seen a few suggestions that limiting the frame rate may help a bit.

I really didn't like this game, it was very weak and obviously made with limited resources. At least it was cheap.1998 wrote: ↑ June 13th, 2024, 02:42I didn't know that, but that's indeed good news. Is Advanced Wars with a fantasy coat of paint. If you like Advance Wars, you will most likely like Wargroove.
I don't remember adding this to my wishlist as I've never seen the game before but it's on sale. Anyone played it? The character in the pictures is a bit of a red flag.
?
(sorry if I have asked this before; not sure. But better asking advice two times rather than no times, these DEI days).
