Surprised at how well the character controls, it's a shame they decided to just use NWN combat again & base it on a very, very lite version of 3.5e tho.

Bioware was doing the dialogue wheel years before it was a dialogue wheel. Going back o my argument that people who hate dialogue wheels just hate it because they no longer get off on the idea of them thinking they're coming up with the dialogue.

I didn't continue from that save, I was combing through the executable for undocumented config options

Reminder that @rusty_shackleford advocates using CheatEngine for its speedhack feature.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 27th, 2024, 15:23I didn't continue from that save, I was combing through the executable for undocumented config options
KOTOR 1 made me wish for a quick travel option.
I even killed that Twi'lek on Taris that wants to fake his own death because I was too lazy to go all the way back.
Hardcore RPG goymers when the video game doesn't have fast travel
I'm just stating the facts.
Question is are you going to gargle the truth or swallow?

Morrowind has fast travel. It's well integrated into the world, but it's still there.Vergil wrote: ↑ May 27th, 2024, 18:01Hardcore RPG goymers when the video game doesn't have fast travel![]()

FYI you can enable EAX audio in the same config file(swkotor.ini installation directory), plop the files from this into the game's root directory:
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65094?tab=files
It's just a build of OpenAL soft + DSOAL, not specific to FNV.

I'm just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe.
Would like either the black or red/blue ones if @rusty_shackleford wants to do a super special alignment variant badge for KotOR. Needs to be scaled down though.logincrash wrote: ↑ May 20th, 2024, 03:25How about the Sith logo for the badge? It depicts the Star Forge and KotOR is the only thing it features in.We could also just use the desktop icon of Malak's head. Because if we ever have a KotOR 2 guild thread, using the icon of Nihilus' head for that would be better than any logo. It's the most visually recognizable thing about that game, I'd argue.► 400x400 PNGs in different colors

No, it was a PNG.
I get what you mean. The swkotor.ico would be recognizable to anyone who played it.
Should we just put the game executable icons as banners for every game?
That's clever. But I hate pazaak too much.
"Oh, it all makes sense now, brother."
I personally prefer the more abstract badges. The Malak head doesn't look very good at such low resolution.logincrash wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 04:15I get what you mean. The swkotor.ico would be recognizable to anyone who played it.

I traced the logos from @logincrash's post and made an SVG, check @wndrbr's post to see it, which do you guys think looks better?WhiteShark wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 12:38I personally prefer the more abstract badges. The red looks pretty good. Whoever originally picked the RPGHQ colors for the forum logo has great taste.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 13:07I traced the logos from @logincrash's post and made an SVG, check @wndrbr's post to see it, which do you guys think looks better?
What if we do both red and blue but with transparent background?

Is KotOR 2 really associated with blue? I think it would be the other way around. KotOR 1's UI is blue, KotOR 2's UI is greenish. The Star Forge symbol is much much less prominent in 2. Darth Nihilus' mask is also very stark and recognizable and it was the .exe icon for KotOR 2.rusty_shackleford wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 13:22I was going to save the blue for kotor 2.logincrash wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 13:21What if we do both red and blue but with transparent background?

canonically, Revan embodies both sides of the force, Meetra is a Jedi.logincrash wrote: ↑ May 29th, 2024, 13:26Is KotOR 2 really associated with blue? I think it would be the other way around. I'm with @logincrash. I think a stylized Nihilus mask would work better for II.

Anyone know the technical reason kotor hasn't been ported to kotor 2's engine? Surely the data files used are extremely similar?
[edit]
It does exist.
