Is it possible to make a GOOD "Flappy Bird" RPG?

For discussing role-playing video games, you know, the ones with combat.

Is it possible to make a GOOD "Flappy Bird" RPG?

Post by NotAI »

If mobile is the big thing and indie is the great hope, then the people need more normie indie options besides: (1) the card game, (2) the rpg card game, (3) the rogue-like.

Here we are considering this: (?) the rpg flappy-like.

(a) Competes with any flappy bird (there is no standing still)
(b) Immersive sim (systems affect systems)
(c) Coop. Multiplayer.
(d) RPG
(e) romanceable party companions

Indeed all npc, including most enemies, are both talkative and romanceable.

So now the bird is an EAGLE. After a few minutes can it get the skill to HULK SMASH through all the obstacles for the rest of the game.

You can create your character EAGLE. Hair and penis options for your EAGLE.

Character creation might take a good hour. You need to consult the meta to make the best type of character.

EAGLE levels up and can select skills. There are equippable items.

EAGLE can also USE SYSTEMS to build icicles to block OTHER birds and npcs like hawks, tits, parrots, robbins, flying fish, dragons from getting ahead.

Like that one MAD MAX film everything including dialogue happens inside a single long chase scene.

It's an rpg and a race.

Talk to npcs while avoiding trees branches. Sometimes the npc fails to avoid the tree and just falls off screen, ending the dialogue earlier. The player is empowered to figure out what the rest of the quest is supposed to be.

With stunning, powerful dialogue. Full mocap and beautifully voice acted.

Top celebrities are hired to make dramatic bird noises for hours. Orchestral soundtrack.

Cutscenes.

Comment, The real question of this post is...can literally anything have RPG mechanics added and become an RPG?

(Formally, is the tensor product always defined? RPG mechanics are or are not group theoretic stuff?)

Comment. Incidentally flappy bird is just a "with gravity" variant of a very old racing game but just sideways rather than vertical and with physics. Almost as old as tetris. So rpg flappy-like would be both a new genre and forty years of continuous improvement. Because everything gets better with time, right?

Edit. Surprised this doesn't exist yet.

I stumbled upon this thread while searching for Flappy RPG XD. You have some crazy ideas while I haven't implemented them I tried to make a Flappy bird variant with RPG elements in it, bosses every 20 pipes, pipes don't kill but do damage, you can level up and improve your bird (attack, health, speed). You can drop items (weapons) that improve your bird too.
I called it Flappy RPG and it's free on mobile (android for now as Apple didn't review it yet, I called it Flappy Grind on ios because Flappy RPG already exists there)
