I watched all of this guy's videos and now I need to find a similar channel but all the gamedev videos on youtube are really ****

It's interesting to watch someone make an actually experimental game rather than roguesoulsmetroidvanialike. He solves a bunch of problems throughout the videos and is just generally entertaining. Also, I'm 99% sure he's a chud because he plays clips from Norm Macdonald occasionally, and stuff he says.
You might like the Thouest Thee/Wrought Flesh devlogs. It even has inventory Tetris!

Not really the same because this guy is setting out to make his dream game for himself and doesn't care how long he spends developing it or what people think, wrought flesh was a gimmick game with mediocre reviews :(

Now that I'm watching your video I'm reminded of when I'd spend hours watching Zombie City Sims where green dots would shamble around and infect pink dots while the blue dots had guns and would try to fight back. I even emailed a guy recently asking him to fix his Java sims. He replied but told me he wouldn't :(

Watch the other videos too, zombies are just something his game has because it's a simulation. He gets up to all sorts of hijinks like cannibalism and race wars.

Yet another example of designers making games worse because they're afraid you won't see the content they've made.

Actually never heard of this game before somehow(?), is it worth playing?
Going to guess it just wasn't marketed in America.

Guess I was right

I do but for different reasons, it killed Warcraft for me. I was 23 when WoW came out and liked the RTS but thought (still think) MMOs were ******** - or at least not for me.

Shining Holy ark
Shining Wisdom
Shining Force 3
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Dark Savior
The story of Thor 2

All AMAZING games, literally some of the best gaming years of my life were enjoying these.
I still go back and play them now on emulator (as some ****** stole my Saturn and games back when I was a kid :( )

I just used Vimm's Lair to download Shining Holy Ark, Shining Wisdom, Shining Force 3, Dark Savior, and Thor 2. Already had PDS. So there are still some available. Get 'em while you can.

Cyberdoll actually looks pretty good, too bad it's nip language only. Maybe a game for @WhiteShark.

Has anyone watched this sloppa? It's long as **** but seems interesting and somewhat high quality at least. I don't really know much about early CRPG history, so no idea how accurate this **** is or if I'll be consooming wrong information.

I saw it on yewtoob but didn't watch it because I have the entire history in me head. Going to guess it's just regurgitating Felipepepe's book which was a collection of articles written by other people.
