Locational damage is only fun in games like Kenshi where you can lose limbs.

Ok I think I have this figured out, can I just spam Neural Overload for the rest of the game? Do I even need other Psi?

Nah, TC is probably the most OP school. But if it's your first time playing it's not a bad idea to have backup options.

Styg should add nested pockets to the game while he's at it. This could bring the game to the next level.

how locational damage ends up working in every game with it:
you just target the area that causes the most damage

It's statistically impossible for Styg to make an enjoyable game that isn't mired in autism; for each thing he gets right, he will get ten or more things wrong, because he's one of those people who think the obvious solution can't possibly be the right one.

Hack the shit out of the CC with a CheatEngine script like I do.
Why limit yourself? Double your ability points and get a perk every level if you want.

Bonus: also makes the "git gud" buildfag bros mald if you reveal it.

I'm gonna do it, I'm installing cheat engine and I'm merchant refreshing shit until I have no stygians left.
Fuck this waiting for half an hour in real time for the fucking merchants to restock... why the fuck is this even a thing? Styg needs to lay off the rakija I swear to God.
YOU MADE ME DO THIS STYG, YOU MADE ME BE A CHEATER, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU MAKE ME DO THIS?

Nah, I take it back. If Styg thinks he can defeat my autism with his questionable design decisions he can go fuck himself. I'm not gonna let some Goddamn uppity Serbian Jew outstubborn me Goddamn it.

Not if there are unique status effects attached to damaging the limbs. If I'm doing more damage at the expense of not reducing the enemy's base stats/action points/DR/accuracy then that's fine.

No games ever have enough of a consequence to offset just doing more damage.

In AoD trading blow for blow would give suboptimal chances of winning many engagements relative to employing tactics.

Torrent or buy?
Buy. UnderRail was made by a single person over 7 years during his spare time. You are not sticking it to the man by downloading it for free. You are screwing over one guy who loves video games as much as you do.
Reading that actually made me regret buying Underrail. Fuckin' shills.

This is a lie. There are only a few builds that are actually viable and are dependent on how Styg thinks people should play.

I guess you'll have to define what you mean when you say builds, and what you mean when you say viable cause as far as I'm concerned merely using a different weapon type differentiates that build enough for it to be considered its own thing.
As for viability I've currently completed the game with a tincan AR (before the smart module nerf), metathermics/sniper (before the PSI/Spearhead nerf), pure PSI (after the nerf) and pistols. I'm about 60% done with my LMG playthrough.
After that I'm mulling whether to go unarmed, max int energy weapons meme or maybe a knifer (all of which I'm fairly certain will be perfectly viable).

I'm still angry about the spearhead nerf, ngl.

Even after all the nerfs, on medium difficulty Underrail still gives you a lot of leeway in terms of building your character. DOM is significantly more restrictive, but that's a powergamer mode anyway.

By purchasing any copies of Underrail you're financially supporting fun, or, as you westerners might refer to it, future ethnic cleansings and genocides.
I just wanted you to know that Breathe.

I just bought the game off of GOG, this being the second time I did so for a game I had already previously pirated. Mr. Serb has earned the it, quality like this deserves to be paid for. The expansions have eluded me thus far, and I will certainly give them a go.
