Technology research and efficiency improvements have a larger effect overall. Yes, US immigration laws are extreme ******. Mainly if compared to Japan.

For example, the H2B visa for skilled workers. US government said that wanna to cause a brain drain in Russia. Guess what. Russians aren`t eligible for H2B visa program. But Haitians are. Don`t ask me why. US also has diversity visa lottery and other nonsense. Meanwhile, in Japan, for Jobs the priority is for Japanese, if you can`t get a Japanese, then you can ask to import a foreigner and the priority is for people of Japanese ancestry.

And refugee status in Japan are almost impossible to get. Is not impossible but according to wikipedia in 2018, there was 10,493 applicants and only 42 granted(most north korean -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_Japan ), in order to get refugee status in Japan, not only you need to prove that you are in dire danger but also that you tried to get into the closest safe country and got denied.

And they also have no birthright citizenship. In fact, if you are married to a Japanese woman, living in Japan for decades, fluent in Japan, and have Japanese ancestry, getting Japanese citizenship would`t be easy.

Lastly, immigration is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. Most of the world understands that.

Looks to me like nature's working as intended. Populations don't grow forever, whether they could as economies are ordered for criminals and life-haters idk. The young weren't meant to be saddled with a disproportionately aged, pension class, who aborted all their children, as they have been in developed countries. If japanese survive, it'll be through the ones who wanted to live. The invaders in the West aren't reproducing either, so from that small core - hopefully not bottleneck - could come a vigorous generation who can overthrow the cowards and traitors.
