When I used to read a bit about the whole climate change garbage years ago, there was a activist researcher who got caught editing the pages then citing his edits when he argued on various sites. It isn't a source, its a propaganda site. Only thing it is useful for is non-political topics that are not contested and just provide basic information on a topic. Even then, there are better sites to use though.

She's not that bad of a character, and makes sense in context. It helps that she never upstages the protagonist, she's not a combat powerhouse and is there to make the protagonist come to terms with the need to step away from rigid samurai honor and adapt more underhanded means of dealing with the Mongols.

She's a thief, and it's the protagonist that ultimately teaches her to start giving a **** about people besides herself and her brother.

There is another, far more egregious example, old Samurai lady seeking vengeance for the slaughter of her family, but again, the game manages not to make it too cringey.

Also, both examples are well-established tropes with a lot of examples in Japanese period storytelling.

It's kinda surprising how many obvious pitfalls Ghost of Tsushima manages to avoid, especially considering who the developers are.

I think it's fun like 10-15 years ago the developers said they didn't have any interest in doing a game set in Japan and if they made one it was a sign things were in trouble with the franchise and they were breaking out the emergency easy money game.
