I don't. It's one of those things where if the translator does an amazing job nobody will care/notice. ROMhack sites that host fan translations normally have a section for reviews, but I find they're not very active.
That said, you can often just ask yourself if the 57 year old Japanese man writing the game used the word "farthead" and filter out the worst localizations.

It used to be that fan translations were pretty faithful to the source material, since only someone truly passionate about the game would devote so much of their free time to translate it.

More recently the usual suspects have begun ******** out butchered translations laced with their politics.

From what I've read, all of the dialogue for Eiyuden Chronicle is easy to export, edit, and import back. Someone has already started an AI translation project, and I've seen others who actually speak Japanese interested in doing a proper translation. Seems likely the script will be fixed relatively soonish if you don't mind waiting.
